1988 4x4 GMC Suburban -- V1500 6.2L DieselThis vehicle has 88,000 original miles. The Suburban has the original, removable 3rd row set, and comfortably seats 8. The diesel will not break any speed records, but you can easily keep up with freeway traffic.I am the 3rd owner of this original condition, very low mileage Suburban. For the last 8 years this vehicle has been in Colorado. It was used at our vacation home and was only driven a few months per year. This vehicle has been constantly garaged and well maintained.Per the 2nd owner, the vehicle was originally purchased by the George Family / Hulman Corp and spent the 1st 10 years of life as a Go-Fer vehicle at the Indianapolis Speedway. As such, the Suburban's original title did not get issued until 1998. The vehicle then went to WY and then CO where I bought it with 74,000, in 2012.At 73,000 Miles the 2nd owner replaced all of the Glow Plugs, the Fuel Housing and the Fuel Relay. He also had New Brakes Installed. This Suburban has running boards and trailer hitch. I will include a 2" receiver. Also has panel doors, vs the boring lift gate.In Nov, the following drivetrain and AC overhaul work was performed (over $3K):•Transmission Filter replaced•A/C system serviced•Transfer case overhauled•Valve cover gasket(s) replaced•Power steering hose(s)/line(s) replaced•Pinion seal(s) replaced•A/C refrigerant recharged•Oil and Filter changed•Fluids checked•Transfer case fluid flushed/changed•A/C compressor replacedThe recently restored AC is COLD. There are two separate evaporators, front and rear. There are also separate heaters, front and rear, for those cold winter AMs.This is a non-smoking vehicle. The ashtray looks as though it has never been used.Known issues:•The vehicle has minor surface rust and needs a paint job. •The front seats need to be either re-stitched, or re-upholstered. •Dashboard has several cracks•Rest of the interior is in great shape.•The radio does not work. (I will include a Jabra Freeway Bluetooth adapter)•The door and window seals can use updating,This Suburban is a great commuter vehicle. It is a comfortable ride and gets decent MPG (low 20s). It is also a capable Weekend Warrior, ready to hit the trail and spend time in the mountains, or mud. This vehicle has no warranty and is sold as-is. Buyer is responsible for all transportation costs. Thanks for looking, feel free to contact me with any questions
