Description of 1953 GMC Other |
SOLD AS PACKAGE DEAL : Truck / DirtBike and TrailerI consider it a well finished rat rod. Licensed by Arizona DMV as a 2014 SPECO ST (special construction small truck)The truck came from Camp Verde AZ. Lad a friend of mine gave it to me. When we brought it back I wasn’t sure what direction I was going to take. Another friend (Acie) had a 1997 ¾ ton PU so I thought I would honor the old truck (53) by bringing it back as a ¾ ton 8 lug Rat Rod. I started building it and another friend said it kind of had a warrior / mad max look. And that’s when I knew I was going to make it a tribute truck to my Dad. He (my Dad) is a Class of 45 (WWII VET) He was A Medic with the 112th Medical battalion 37th Division and was Assigned to the CNN CO / 145TH Infantry Pacific Theater. As far as we know now there is my Dad and one other guy left. I was Naval Air (Sailor at heart) so I told my Dad the outside was his but the inside was mine. That is why the Interior is battleship gray. The Truck was kind of a Thanks Dad Tribute. THANKS DAD! and that the truck story. Brand new 350 Vortec Engine. This truck build is mint condition not a spec of rust on it period. Took 13 months to build from start to finish. Only about 500 miles on brand new engine . Runs Perfect..... DIRT BIKEThe scooter is something called a Baja I bought it off Craig’s List. A buddy of mines Son had the Bomb (a naval sand / water 100lb practice bomb & some 50 cal dummy rounds. I managed to secure them. I bought a couple of ammo boxes some decals a little paint and that is that. The trailer is something I built a few years back. There is new wood a new steel floor & some paint. The axle is from an old Chrysler K car and that is that. FYI : If you happen to be in the Phoenix (Arizona) area your are more than welcome to schedule an appointment to come and inspect / test drive the Truck. |
