Description of 1971 Honda Other |
Up for auction a Vintage 1971 Honda N600 2-Door Sedan Front-Wheel-Drive air-cooled 2-cylinder 600cc, nd Matching Trailer. This rare little purple car runs and drives, ut needs fresh gas and likely a carburetor overhaul to run great. It has many new parts and fresh paint, ut some trim and parts still need to be restored/replaced. It is a good looking, unning classic, ut not showroom quality yet. Perfect to tinker on, rive around and show-off, nd ready for a full restoration. The current owner had not taken it out of the garage in over a year, nd its been longer than that since the gas has been filled up. He just was not using this great little car and that is why it is up for auction. Was running great before the long layover. Hope it goes to a good home. Clear title. Check out the super-sized pics for a complete look. Pros: Newer brake pads & rotors, eatherstrip, arpeting, pholstery (including matching headliner), aint (including matching rims and trailer). It also has the rare rear boot gadget tray in good condition. The underside shows no rust rot. All gauges and electrics work. Interior vent panels and windshield wipers are not installed but are included. The trailer is about the size of a motorcycle trailer, as matching paint, elcro removable liner, nd recently refinished solid Oak rails. Cons: NO title or plates on the trailer. Vehicle paint has minor flaws. Some surface rust & pitting on the chrome parts here-and-there. The battery is not getting a charge and the likely culprit is the generator stator needs to be replaced or rebuilt. Engine runs rough from long-term storage and it needs fresh gas and a carburetor tune-up or overhaul. TheN600was introduced to the USA in 1969 as a 1970 model, nd was the first Honda automobile to be officially imported to the United States. It was technologically advanced for its time, ith an all alloy engine that could achieve 9000rpm. Engine output was 36-45hp and the N600 was capable of 81mph.
