Description of 1987 Honda CRX Si or HF

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MY CARS, PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE WHOLE LISTING!!.I HAVE TRIED TO BE COMPLETE AND HONEST IN DESCRIBING THESE CARS, AND IF THERE IS ANYTHING YOU FEEL I HAVE NEGLECTED OR MISSED PLEASE LET ME KNOW=================================================For every 1st Gen CRX fanatic out there, here is arare opportunity to own one of the nicest old school CRX's available. You will look long and hard, and probably in vain, to find another 1st Gen CRX that can match either of these cars in authenticity and quality.
1) Both of these cars have NO RUST ISSUES AT ALL. And, neither of them show any signs of crash history.2) They are both mostly stock condition vehicles, and Not messed up by a kid who tried to become one of the "fast or furious".3) They have both undergone a full trim off, high quality repaint last year, and look great.IF YOU HAVE A SERIOUS INTEREST IN EITHER OF THESE CARS, PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ EVERYTHING AND SCROLL DOWN TO LOOK AT THE DOZENS OF PHOTOS POSTED. Then, if you have any questions, or would like to discuss the purchase of one of them, please send me a text message or call me at (908)797-9758. THANK YOU.
(Note: While I am not making any guarantee as to their ultimate reliability, both these cars should be drivable for purposes of transporting to a new home, and towards that end, we will make sure that they both have a fresh oil change and filter, as well as a full tank of premium fuel if a new owner wishes to come pick them up and drive home. Alternatively, I am happy to assist a transporter (of your choice, and under contract to You) in the loading of the car on a truck. We have had customers buy our restored cars from as far away as Vancouver, St. Louis, California, and Europe!
1st Choice - 1987 CRX HF, Silver Gray, only 72,666 original miles!!, This car is the Real Deal, it could be the lowest mile 1g CRX HF left in the country, as far as I know. I have never seen one of these for sale in the past 10 years that has less use on it than this example! If you know anything about the CRX of this vintage, you'll know that they were very light, and the HF model was the lightest of the model range, coming in at under 1,800 pounds!! In combination with a very tall final drive gearbox which lets the motor turn about 2,000rpm at highway speeds, this car is capable of achieving a true 50-60mpg in real world driving, and not only that, the drivetrain commonly can last for well over 200,000 miles with no major rebuilds, so as you can see this car is closer to 'new' than it is to being 'worn out'.The outside of the car has been freshly repainted, and also the front fenders and nose panel have all been reinforced and any cracks repaired so that it looks far nicer than most of these cars which have deteriorated and disintegrating plastic body panels. The restoration and refinishing process of the body panels on the car alone took more than 150 hours of labor! In general, now the car looks great, but up close it is possible to see small pieces of dust and some blemishes in the paint. Also, the bumpers and lower panels were not painted, so they could use a refinishing to make the car really stand out and be "show quality". On the inside, the car is exceptionally clean, the sole noticable flaw is the typical "Honda seat bolster" wear on the driver side seat..

CAR #2 2nd Choice - 1987 CRX Si, Rio Red, 109,xxx miles, This caris for someone who is looking for a high qualitystock looking Si.This carwas owned for many years in Arizona, and it shows! There is not a spec of rust on the chassis, and for someone who wants a pristine chassis/body to do ashow quality build, thisexample is easily worth taking to the next level...When I found this car sitting at a body shop (from a ripped off bumper) about 8 years ago out west, I knew that I had to rescue it, and paid $1,000+ just to transport it back east. Late last year we pulled it out of storage and took off all the old cracked plastic panels and treated the car to one of my best sets of undamaged plastic panels.ALL plastic panels on this car are either undamaged good originalor rebuilt to stronger than new specs!NO CRACKS ON ANY PLASTICS!! THEY ARE PERFECT!**(We pride ourselves here in our ability to restore the originalplastic panels on these cars tolook as good as new, and to be more resistant to cracking than the original design ever was. To our knowledge, nobody else in the CRX worldhas developed the techniques to do this as reliably as we can. You will not (short of buying hugely expensive custom made carbon fiber replica panels) find another1st gen CRX with plastic nose, fender, and side panelsthat look at good as the ones on this car!!)**.
Some Original Hondaline accessories the car is equipped with- Rear Speakercovers(very rare to find!)($100+)- Air Conditioning
Additional Aftermarket Performance Upgrades- 4-1 header (DC Sports? not sure, no label to indicate brand)- Tokicoshocks in back- Lightspeedrear Antiroll bar
A Partial list of restoration and service work which was done on the car to bring it up to its current condition-replaced starter motor-replaced rear hatch struts (new Stabilus units)- fresh Kumho 185/60-14 tires- most coolant lines replaced- complete trim off repaint in original Rio Red 2 stage base clearwindow seals, rain gutter trim, side moldings, many other rubber and plastic trim parts restored or replaced- Sunroof removed, cleaned, lubricated, reinstalled and tested to function smoothly and properly-- much more....

About us - CRXpertWe are theonly shop on the east coast of the US which for the past 8 years has specialized in the correct and proper restoration of Honda CRX cars. As these cars are now at least 25, and in some cases more than 30 years old, they have passed the time of being simply 'used cars', and have entered the domain of becoming a true classic, or 'vintage collectible' car. While other tuning shops are focused on doing swaps and other customization to the 1980's-90's era CRX's and Civics, wehave decided to use our deep experience in the world of high end ($40,000-$250,000) vintage European classic restorations tofocus on doing correct and proper RESTORATION work to bring these cars back as close as possible tohow they looked when they appeared in Honda showrooms. This is no easy task, as Honda does not support their cars after they have reached this age and virtually no NOS parts are available for the CRX at this point in time. Therefore, we have gone to great lengths to search out, find, and horde as many NOS and good condition used parts for these cars as possible, and also we have developed specific techniques to restore and refurbish parts of the cars (such as the plastic body panels and rubber moldings) that are simply not available anymore. The work we do here onour Civics and CRX's is a Labor of LOVE. After spending 100's of hours bringing these cars up to the level of quality and appearance you see here, we could not possibly recoup the investment we have in time and materials, even if the cars sell at or above our asking price! If you have a 3g or 4g Civic or 1g or 2g CRX which you've been hoping to bring back to its former glory and would like the help of a shop which knows exactly what it takes to do this, feel free to contact us.Our shop rates are very reasonable,(for Honda's only)and wehave a limited amount of unbooked time for the coming winter season and would be happy to discuss a restoration project specifically tailored to your wishes.
