Hey folks! This is a 1989 Honda CRX DX I picked up about a year ago as a daily driver/project car. The original motor (D15B2) had started burning oil so I replaced it with a D15B2 from another CRX that had been rebuilt by the students in the SBCC engine rebuilding class. During the motor swap I rebuilt the 5 speed transmission with all new synchros and bearings as well as a exedy stage 1 clutch and lightened flywheel (9 pounds). The car also has an aftermarket exhaust system (off brand spec-d) that includes a 4-2-1 header and 2.5" exhaust with a thrush muffler to remove the ricey tone. The car also has a cold air intake with a K&N filter and sock at the end. It also has aftermarket fiberglass front fenders since a vehicle had backed into the drivers side fender and it got crunched a bit. It also has a Skunk2 short shifter with a polyurethane shifter mount and stiffer motor mounts. I also upgraded the headlights to a set with projector bulbs since the stock headlights had cracked lenses and didn't throw as much light as I wanted. I HAVE ALL STOCK PARTS FOR WHAT I REPLACED IF YOU WANT TO RETURN IT TO STOCK!!! I'm selling the car because another project car fell into my lap unexpectedly and I want to focus my time and funds there. This vehicle is not as far along as I had intended before I went to sell it but that's the way it worked out and its most of the way there. The driveline has been completely rebuilt and I wouldn't be surprised if the car made it another 300,000 as long as its properly maintained. The only downsides to this car is it could use a new paint job and the interior is a little rough. This would be a great commuter car as it gets 30+ mpg and is extremely easy to park due to its size. Its also fun to drive with being how light it is and part costs are easy on the pocket book being a Honda. I'd describe this as a project car that's most of the way there. ^TLDR ~2,000 miles ago: -New Tires -Rebuilt motor (D15B2) -Rebuilt transmission (5 Speed manual transmission) -New Clutch/lightened Flywheel (Exedy stage 1) -New Timing belt/water pump -New distributor/spark plugs/plug wires -Full size spare tire -New half shafts -Skunk2 Short shifter (I have stock shifter and will go with car) -New headlights (I have stock headlights and will go with car) -Aftermarket exhaust (I have stock exhaust will go with car) -Cold Air Intake (I have stock intake will go with car) -Fiberglass fenders (I have stock fenders will go with car) -New Battery -Haynes service manual The bad: -Exterior could use paint -Climate control panel is cracked (still works. cracking is very common this car) -Does the common Honda 3rd gear grind if you try and shift too quickly (might go away if fluid swapped to Honda MTF I just haven't had the time to do so I just give it half a second before going into 3rd and it doesn't grind) -Light surface rust in the common CRX rust areas -Needs new rheostat for dash lights
