Description of 1980 Honda Accord

Amazing condition, immaculate interior, very minimal rust, great engine - just over 100K. I am only the 2nd owner! I bought it from the son of the original purchaser who passed away. Quintessential "granny car," that was babied and kept in a garage for its entire life. Exterior paint is in nearly perfect condition. I have original bill of sale from 1980, from Riach Central Honda in Seattle. This car spent its entire life in Seattle, garaged, and is almost completely rust free. When I bought it it had just under 100K on it, and I have only added slightly more than 500 miles to it. Pretty much all original parts. The mechanics I've taken this car to are all in awe.
The only catch is that it needs new power steering gear assembly and front axle, but it is drivable, with a slow power steering fluid leak. As long as it is topped off from time to time, it steers fine, for now. Will need a new battery and muffler soon as well.
Dashboard electronics were recently fixed and work great (all lights, fans, heater, etc.). Brand new Kumho tires with only 500 miles on them, new wheel cylinders, new distributor cap, new ignition wires, new spark plugs, new valve cover gasket, brake adjustment and flush, and many other minor improvements. I have all paper work for any work that was done since I bought the car, and some of the paper work from the original owner. After market cassette stereo was added, but the cassette does not work. Haynes Repair Manual and original owner's manual included.
There is also a pretty hilarious old (BIG) car phone installed. It does not work, as the service is no longer in existence, but it is a great conversation piece.
Tabs are currently expired. You could get historic plates for this car, and never have to renew tabs again - depending on how often you plan to drive it.
I love this car, and it gets so much attention when I drive it. I am selling it though, because ultimately i just want a newer more reliable car. For someone with an interest in old Hondas, this is a real find, and it is in excellent, truly amazing, condition.
