Description of 1992 Honda Beat

Up for grabs is my 1992 Honda Beat PP1 (JDM VIN PP1-1025401). This car is a mid-engine rear wheel drive convertible from Japan. Chances are, if you're looking, you know what this is. But if not, Google Japanese Kei cars. This car is only around 64 HP, but also only weighs around 1600 lbs. It's a freaking blast to drive!
Since I imported the car, the following has been done to it:

  • New GAZ Coilovers
  • New timing belt, water pump, belts, gaskets, etc.
  • New spark plugs, wires, rotor
  • New Honda fuel gauge/water temp gauge
  • New Archilles tires
  • New RTX wheels
  • New Honda motor mounts
  • New AGM battery
  • New brakes all around, coated rotors, ceramic pads, upgraded to Civic EG front calipers and rotors
  • New oil catch can setup
  • New K&N air filter
The Good:
  • Came with US Racing body kit from Japan
  • No rust
  • Paint has been clay barred, polished and waxed. The car was re-sprayed in Japan, likely when the body kit was added, and looks great.
  • Top is in great shape
  • Original Gathers radio does work, but the speakers are not the best
  • Sport bar powder coated to match the wheels
  • Painted the valve cover and air box in high temp red paint to match the car
The Bad:
  • AC does not blow cold, never cared because I don't drive the car with the top up
  • Tach does not work
  • Factory upholstery is worn at the drivers bolster, but the black seat covers look great
Please do your research on the car. These are meant to be city cars and aren't meant to do 80 MPH on the interstate. I can do 60-65 MPH comfortably, but don't go much faster. You will never meet a stranger when you drive this, everyone wants to talk about it and learn more.
The exterior is probably a 9/10 with shiny paint and looks nice. The interior maybe 7/10 with some plastic fading and scratches. Overall, nothing to be concerned with for a 30+ year old car.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
