Description of 1991 Hummer H1

1991 AM General HMMWV (Not an H1)History, that I've found was it was apart of the MIB - Military Intelligence Branch.
This has been modified from it's original condition to make it more enjoyable for street use. I have owned it for 4 years, and never took it off-road.
It came originally with the 6.2L Diesel and 3 speed. It has been upgraded to a 4L80e, to achieve cruising speeds of 70+mph.
List of changes/upgrades-
-4 (hard to find) hard doors
-Leather/Suede seats with fold down armrests
-Center Console made from fiberglass with ability to have further modification
-Overhead console, with light, radio and speakers, made from steel with extra toggle switches to add lighting and other mods.6 switches are for 12v accessories, 6 switches are for 24v accessories.
-4L80e Transmission
-Painted back to desert tan with black soft top. Paint is chip in some places, but can provide paint with sale if buyer wants
-Tinted windows
-Upgraded leveling springs for better stance and softer ride
-40" wheels/tires - total of 5 wheels and tires. 1 extra if you want to add a tire carrier.Tires have less than 300 miles on them.
-4 man Cargo divider, still in box, not installed to go with sale.
-Noise/heat reduction painted on floor.
-Added dB engineering 1" mylar insulation on underside of tunnel for sound/heat reduction.Also added CLD Tiles, Closed cell foam, and Mass Loaded vinyl to the interior. dB readings are now in the 70s. Anyone that's ever been in one will know, it's hard enough to carry on a conversation with passengers, let alone hear the radio. So this was a huge improvement to that. Have not added carpet yet. Hence the unfinished look in the cab. But still a blank slate for anyone to continue to add. Or sound deadening can be removed.
