Description of 1967 International Harvester Other |
I purchased this Travelall with the idea of refitting the factory optional rear cargo doors to another Travelall I have that has the standard tailgate with electric roll up rear window. After having this vehicle shipped and taking delivery of it, quickly realized retro fitting cargo or ambulance style doors is a very difficult job, nd not one that I have the skill level to accomplish. I also wanted the near perfect, arge, urved rear windows for replacements, s well as having the two large capacities "saddle" fuel tanks boiled out and coated for use in the other vehicle. None of the aforementioned was accomplished and this Travelall was pushed to the back of the building. Now I need the space it is taking up and it has to go. What actually was accomplished was getting the motor to start and run with the aid of a freshly rebuilt carburetor borrowed for this purpose from another vehicle, n electric fuel pump, n auxiliary fuel source, nd a fresh battery. These four items are not included in the sale, owever can easily and relatively inexpensively be replicated. With the motor running the Travelall was moved a short distance to determine that the clutch, hich at present cannot be disengaged because the hydraulic booster and slave cylinder need to be rebuilt, oes not chatter or slip. Likewise the brakes, hich also work from the hydraulic booster, re at present not operational. The optional front bench seat, ear seat (both included with the vehicle), nd floor mats were removed to expose the floor pan, hich also shows off the beautiful, riginal paint. There are areas of rust on the driver's and passenger's side where the windshield, urving at this point, llowed water to drip in and accumulate under the floor mats. An inherent problem that plagued most, f not all, ravelalls of this era. Another inherent problem is door alignment. Both of these can be remedied relatively inexpensively taking the low tech route, or example black silicon caulk to (temporarily) seal the windshield, hich incidentally has a hole in the glass. There is exterior rust on the body behind front and rear fenders. This was a fully optioned vehicle with a 345 v8, our speed transmission, r it could even be a five speed, lso a factory option, hich I have not determined, ut maybe not. Other options also included factory air conditioning, ack up lights, rame mounted trailer hitch, tc. This is a 48 year old vehicle which is being sold as is, here is, ithout any warranties or guarantees stated or implied, hipping is not included. Please look carefully at the pictures, sk questions, ave funds available, id to win. The vehicle is also being advertised locally therefore this listing could be canceled in the event of a sale locally. A deposit of $500. via Pay Pal within 24 hours of winning bid. Payment in full within 3 days with personal check. The year of vehicle manufacture, 967 Texas license plates included with a winning bid over $1,800.
