Description of 1966 International Harvester Scout |
International Harvester Scout 800 Sportop Up for bid is the extremely rare Scout Sportop. This sportop is close to 100% original and complete. The only missing piece from the sportop trim package is the rear spare tire hubcap. I have seen them for sale online, ut they are pricey (about $400), o I never bought one. This Sportop is in running and driving condition, ith many mechanical issues addressed since I found her sitting in a farm field in South Dakota a few years back. She still spits and pops until she is warmed up. Remanufactured, riginal radiator New water pump New fuel pump New fuel filter New starter motor New ignition and keys Rebuilt carburetor New right side fuel line New exhaust All fluids drained and filled I also have collected a number of print materials about this scout and an original owners manual and line setting ticket that I will pass on to the new owner. Also included is a extra set of hubcaps and any original parts that were replaced. I have been driving her from my home to work on weekends (5 miles round trip) and she runs and drives like an old farm scout should. Fires right up and drives true down the road. I haven't attempted any body or interior work. I thought I would leave her appearance as is. She is far from rust free, ut still gets plenty of looks and questions. This rare Sportop is being sold in "as is"condition so I encourage you to inspect the vehicle before bidding. My preferred method of contact is via text, ut you can also give me a call, lthough I might not be able to answer. I have newborn twins at home so it's difficult to get to the phone at times. 515-seven20-3025 $500 deposit to be paid via paypal at auction end. |
