Description of 1952 International Harvester Other |
1952 International Harvester L110 Panel / Delivery Van. Running and driving. Had an exterior restoration about 20+ years ago (not to original color). Was used on occasion for the business as listed on the decals (I kept the International after I sold the business), nd has not been used except rarely for about the last 15 years. It's got the factory 16" wheels and hubcabs. Three speed transmission (3 on the tree). Original motor dropped a valve after a valve adjustment (following restoration), o the motor that's in there is from a 1968 pickup (I believe it's a 240). Hybrid voltage conversion - conversion to 12 volts, ncluding installation of alternator, ut gauges and heater at factory 6 volts. Original motor is still available, an negotiate figuring out how to include it, f desired. Not just used around town, lso driven to towns 60 or so miles away. It's got turn signals, rake lights, ne headlight working (I think the other light has a loose wire/connection, s it used to work fine). Wipers work, riginal heater works. What's not working at the moment is the horn, ne of the instrument lights, nd the parking lights on the back. However, he light issues might also be a dirty light switch, s turning it on and off a few times initially got the lights working. Seat is not original - it originally came from the factory with a bucket seat. This is from a dry region (Central Oregon), o it's in great shape, etal is solid, nd only a few areas of common rust (behind side doors, ight above running boards). Odometer says 56966, dometer works, ut due to age, ctual mileage is unknown. I also changed the side emblems from the very thin stamped, o the heavier cast/chromed ones. I couldn't find any heavy L-110 emblems, o that's why it has L-120's on it now. Pros;
Cons;
I would NOT drive this any great distance - it's over 60 years old, nd should be gone through, rakes bled, tc, efore hitting the road. It is not currently licensed. I have done my best to describe the vehicle to the best of my knowledge. Again, t is over 60 years old, nd there are no warranties, mplied or expressed. If you have questions, lease ask. I am happy to work with an inspector of your choice coming out and inspecting the vehicle. The reserve price is fair - please don't worry about what the reserve is (questions inquiring as to such will be ignored), imply bid what you're comfortable bidding, r would buy it for. Happy to help work with the shipper of your choice. If you're not too far away, elivery might be negotiable. Vehicle will also be listed for sale locally, o I reserve the right to end the listing early. No overseas buyers, hank you. When you find these, hey're typically incomplete, noperable shells that need a lot of mechanical work. Now is a rare chance to own a running, riving 50's panel van. |
