Description of 1930 International Harvester 6-Speed Special Truck |
Remarkable shape for a 85-year old truck. Motor turns free with the hand crank. Tin looks good with a few small cracks in the fenders. Rims are pretty rusty, ires are shot but wheels do turn. Rear frame cross member is bent. Surface rust on most metal parts but nothing clear through. BB gun hole in back window. Sold as is. This truck has been a family heirloom my grandpa had stashed in his barn. It last ran in a parade in late 60's but ½-way around the town square the vacuum fuel pump went out. When grandpa passed on my Dad moved it ½ mile down the road to his barn, nd thought that he'd eventually find the time and money to fix it up and drive it in a parade someday. Now with Dad gone, om is looking to sell it and help pay some bills. Bill of sale will be signed by my mother, e do not have a title. If you need to run a title-search you can start at the local county DMV, s we have a registration slip from 1943 in my great grandfather name. Remainder to be paid in cash or bank cashier's check (checks will need to clear our bank prior to load out). The barn has easy access for tow trucks or car trailers, nd is 1 mile from paved road, nd 5 miles from interstate. Sorry, o overseas sales, ou'll need to find a US-based buyer to facilitate you purchase and shipping. With the stock market tanking, hy not park your money in a rare antique that will hold its value just sitting there on your property. Additional note: We had this same truck listed on Ebay about 3 years ago, ut we got a case of melancholy and pulled the auction when we found the registration wrapped around the steering column with great Grandpa's name on it. This time we're committed to letting her go. My apologies to those folks who were intently watching that auction. |
