Description of 1974 International Harvester Scout

Up for sale here I have my 1974 International Harvester Scout II with an International 345 V8 and automatic transmission. It has older 33x12.50x15 Hankook tires that have great tread but do have some checking mainly in the tread not on the sidewall. The old scout runs, drives and stops but I would give it a good looking over before putting on the road. It's running off of a large auxiliary tank mounted behind the rear seat and has been for years. The 4wd seems to work fine but it can be hard to get it out of 4 lo sometimes. It was a coworkers country cruiser and mud toy for the last 10 years or so. It leaks some fluid mainly from the power steering pump or hoses. The pump also whines alot. It has a clear Missouri title that matches the vin plate on the passenger side and the sticker inside the door on the drivers side. All of the exterior lights work other than the LH front turn signal. All of the glass is good and the wipers work. It is missing the PS headlight bezel and front bumper. I believe the speedometer works but is probably off due to the tires. It has PS, PB, AM/FM radio, CB, and an onboard air compressor run off the engine. There is rust and filler in the doors and quarters. The body mounts are rusted as well and the floors have been patched in numerous spots. The frame is in excellent condition. It comes with a complete pair of doors that are in much better shape as well as two rear hatches to make one good one. The fiberglass panels for inside the top are all included but one has a fixable crack in the window area. There's a spare steering column and two steering wheels. The top is just setting on it for pictures but I will put some bolts in it for transport. The lip that mounts the top to the scout has rust in it because the previous owner stored it outside on the ground for the last 10 years. Overall this would make a great hunting or trail rig with minimal work or a good resto project for someone capable of replacing the panels it needs. This is selling with no reserve so first bid might own it. Thanks and good luck bidding.
