This Auction is for a 1968 International Harvester 1300 Pickup truck with a John Bean Fire truck setup on the back. This Truck was used at the Harmon, Illinois Fire department from a number of years before it was sold and driven to Kansas City. I found the truck and bought it with plans to turn it into a farm truck, but couldn't bring myself to cut up an of the nostalgia. Truck has just shy of 17,000 original miles. That being said, here's what I know about the truck mechanically.304 v8 that sounds incredible.Re manufactured Holley 2 barrel carburetor with electric choke4 speed transmissionHI-Low transfercasePower Drum brakesThe original Split lock ring wheels have been replaced with 16.5 modern rims.4x4 does work and tires are in good condition. I have driven this truck and can honestly say I think it would make the trip(although it would do it slowly) to anywhere.I don't know much about the fire truck part of it. Water Tank is roughly 65x 55 x 20 inches, I don't have any of the hose reels and I've never tested the pump.Truck does have some rust in the cowl and floor, but certainly nothing extreme and at this point the rust is not affecting the function of the truck. All glass is good and I have a clear title. Also the grille shown by itself in the pictures is the one that will be sold with the vehicle as it is the original and works the best with the hood latch.
