1978 International Scout II for sale. Has running factory 345 V8 and automatic transmission. Equipped with front disc brakes, power steering, and factory A/C (compressor turns and is not frozen). Was pulled out of a field where it sat for 12 years. I put on a new set of plugs, wires, coil, gas tank w/ fuel line, fuel pump, starter, and had the Holley 2bbl carb rebuilt at a local shop. Engine fires right up with no smoking or knocking. The scout is drive-able but needs new brakes, tires, electrical work, carb tuning, and exhaust amongst other repairs needed to safely drive. It is not road ready as is. This is a great field find. Body is very straight with surface rust and some pitting. There are a few rust holes about the size of a pencil but not many. Removable top has severe rust damage but may still be usable. Has all appropriate glass, seats, interior pieces. I am selling this scout as is and I am listing all that I know of the vehicle. It is a great candidate for a restoration as it does need a good amount of work. It is not in condition to drive off, must be hauled on a trailer, buyers responsibility. By bidding buyer acknowledges that this vehicle may have other unknown mechanical issues that seller is not aware of or responsible for after auction has ended. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. I am selling because I do not have the time to work on it. I hate to see it go but would love for it to go the right owner.
