Description of 1972 International Harvester Scout

You know the story. my loss your gain. need a down payment on a house. etc. It's a 1972 IH Scout turned into a SS II clone. The SS II or (Super Scouts) were produced beginning in 1977. There were a limited amount produced which of course makes them rare. So while this is not a SS II it was created by the owner to resemble a SS II. I have owned many Scouts and body wise this is the best that I have owned. That doesn't mean that it's perfect it just means that for a Scout it's pretty good. It has the 304 3 speed (which has a tick in the engine) compression is fine and it runs great but it does have a tick. I have an extra 304 engine comes with the sale. I bought it online and was told that it was rebuilt and gone through but that the seals may need to be checked because it had been sitting for awhile. It no longer has the bucket seats. There are three bench seats. It has a 3 inch lift. new wiring harness and gauges but of course the gas gauge is not working. I added a third row seat. Rhino lining needs to be replaced in the future. She handles well and has no shimmy or shakes. Drum brakes all the way around and a grant steering wheel but I will include the old one if you want to go "Old School". Lights work and I have all of the necessary marker lights I just chose not to be them in. The bucket seats are no longer in the Scout there are all bench seats. I reserve the right to end this auction early since the vehicle is for sale locally. This project is a bout 3/4 done before it is complete. With a paint job and some new covers for the seat you should be in business. nbsp; Shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. All funds shall be paid within 3 days of close of auction. I accept paypal (prefer not to with the fees they charge). Good luck and Happy Bidding.
