Description of 1972 International Harvester Scout kustom |
Up for sale is my traditionally styled 1972 International Scout II called "Skullduggery." That's an old pirate word that means "evil doings." This Scout sounds really evil with its Chevrolet 383 stroker that makes 420 horsepower and has a loud, rumpy cam idle. It shifts manually with a Tremec TKO 600 5-speed transmission. This vehicle has a removable, convertible hard top. It has many custom touches like suicide doors, a smoothed tailgate, custom tail lights, and custom gauges. This truck was built in 2011 after a frame-off restoration with everything new or rebuilt. It currently has only 2700 miles on it after the restoration. I took many, many pictures of its build process, and I have a ton of receipts. This Scout has been professionally appraised, and the printed booklet is included with the purchase. It is concurrently for sale locally as well as online, and comes with no warranty stated or implied. A non-refundable $500 deposit is due with the winning bid. Full payment is due within 7 days, and the vehicle will not be released until payment has been received. I will accept a cashier's check or PayPal if you pay the fees. You will have to arrange shipping from my ZIP of 95628, but I can assist with loading. Current and clean registration in my name. I am a private seller. Engine: Chevrolet 350 stroker with 383 cubic inches and 420 horsepower. Transmission: Tremec TKO 600 5-speed manual. Rear End: Dana 44 with 390 gear ratio and positraction. Exhaust: Hedman Headers and Smithys Mufflers. Suspension: Custom lowered leaf springs, front axle changed to straight. No longer 4x4. Brakes: Front disc, rear drum. Wheels: Stock steelies powder coated red with Mooneyes caps and Coker White Walls. Wiring: All new wiring harness from headlights to taillights. Interior: Red Zodiac Vinyl metal flake (like a '70s boat or classic diner) with cloth inserts and red seatbelts, red vinyl dash, Dynamat and Lizard Skin, red carpet, and red bed liner in rear. Features: AC, power windows, center console, air train horn, and vanity plates that read 72*INTL (1972 International). Kustom pinstriping by Eric "Eggie" Faust. This vehicle is convertible with a removable hardtop. Pros: Everything is either new or rebuilt/refurbished. Cons: Small scuff on hood and small imperfections in paint, small stain on rear seat (I have a kid). No headliner. Gas smell after fill ups.
