Description of 1972 International Harvester Scout BLAZER BRONCO JEEP |
1972 International Scout II Impressive example of an original survivor. Rock solid body with very minor repairs needed as shown in pictures. Minor rust in drivers side dog leg in front of rear tire (shown in pics) other rust is on the inside of the hood front lip not shown but very repairable. No other rust thru on this Scout, floors and rockers inner wheel wells ect. are solid and may have some surface rust as shown. Paint looks original or very old at least This Scout runs and drives as it should. The carb has been rebuilt buns runs a little rich. It has been updated with rebuild of original transmission due to multiple fluid leaks, a new aluminum radiator including hoses and thermostat. The AC hoses have been replaced and system has been charged, there are still leaks in the ac hoses which will need more work (antiquated clamping ). The AC does blow cold when charged. The engine starts quickly but a little cold natured. carb has been rebuilt but will need a little more tinkering. the engine looks to have been rebuilt sometime in the past with NO oil leaks and very clean. 4x4 works as it should and is usable as is. The brakes are all fairly new and stop as you would expect 4 wheel drum brakes to stop. Steering is tight with no worn components balljoint, tierods ect. At this time all lights and accessories work except the wipers which needs a new switch All in all you have a running driving stopping all original Scout that hasn't been abused or Ruined with an amature restoration.
