Description of 1953 International Harvester R110 |
Please review this description and all pictures thoroughly, the images of the unrestored complete truck show the condition when first purchased. The truck has since been completely disassembled, Frame blasted and coated, suspension, brakes, wheels, bearings, steering box and hydraulics replaced or rebuilt, bead blasted and refinished. Engine and transmission removed, inspected, re-gasketed and repainted to original factory colors and mounts replaced. Clutch, Pressure Plate and throw out bearing replaced, flywheel resurfaced. The following engine accessories have been rebuilt, Starter, Generator, Carburetor (correct "Holley Visiflow" see image) fuel pump, distributor and water pump, Radiator core was replaced. The cab was completely stripped, and all rust repaired by welding in new fabricated sheet metal panels, bare cab was coated in epoxy primer followed by high build urethane primer, blocked and refinished in International Harvester Red base coat followed by Urethane Clear Coat. The frame and drivetrain are completely assembled, sitting on new tires and running perfectly, the cab is installed on the frame, It runs strong, drives and starts like new. (see completed cab and chassis images) The doors, hood, running boards, bed and factory optional Heater are in solid unrestored condition as are all original gauges, the tailgate, fenders and front end panel will require more attention but are very restorable. All original glass and Hardware is included. Also included are brand new windshield and rear window weather stripping, complete new $400.00 factory correct cloth covered, soldered connector (as original) wiring harness.Refinished front grille bar, Original correct very rare "International" and "R-110" side emblems, rechromed correct International grille bar emblem, hood emblem and factory radio trim plate (it has an original Motorola tube radio). The seat frame has been repainted and the original bench seat reupholstered. All disassembly was done with painstaking attention to detail, all items bagged and marked, hundreds of images taken during disassembly will be included, as will many images throughout restoration process.
