Description of 1969 International Harvester Other |
International Harvester 908C Short bed Pickup Truck Rare 345 Factory V8 - not the 6 Cylinder most of these hadPower SteeringPower Brakes (waspreviously manual)Dual ExhaustLast half year of the C Series Trucks-Most stopped production in 1968. This was one of the last ones built. In 1969 they started building the D Series truckwhich are more square. Light Duty trucks ended in 1975 for good. Originally from California this truck was shipped to the east coast about 5 years ago. The only rust to really speak of onthis truck was in the front floors where the vinyl mat trappedwater. Those were replaced with new metal stamped from factory molds. The rest of thistruck is very solidincluding the framewhich is excellent. The money was spent making this truck better mechanically. It only has a light restoration keeping the charm of it in tact. The paint is chipped, faded and there are some dents. The interior still has theoriginal paint. The rear bumper is notoriginal and from a Scout. Front bumper isoriginal. Side mirrors are aftermarket nice chrome ones. Mustang I think. Video Herehttps://youtu.be/_5Sc-WT9zK0 Here is a list of the upgrades doneover the past 12 months. Just ask me for the extras.New Gauges. All work but the oil pressure must need anon-OEM - shows high - old ones can be sent with thetruck if youwant them. I will includes all thereceipts with the truck. Reserve is much less than I put in it. The truck runsand drives like an old truck but is super cool and works well. The steering could use a slight front alignment and the weather stripping is getting old and needs replaced in some areas. Idon'tusually do this since I keep themparked in a garage. If I paint them, then I replace all the rubber. The brakes are drum still but could be converted to disc with this setup. It stops very quickly already and really not needed or I wouldhave done it. You just have to keepthose drums adjusted. A great truck you can take to the next level or drive as is. Ihave soldmany IH Scouts and Trucks on Ebay and this one I lovea lot. I haveseveral more projects in theworks so keep an eye out for them. $500PayPaldeposit due within 24 hours. Please send me a cashierscheckwithin a week or so please. I will notrelease the truck until the check clearswhich can take up to a week after I cash it. I will acceptPayPal for the fullpayment but you need to add 3% to the purchase price of the truck. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, Gordon's Garage. No returns and no refunds - AS IS WHERE IS. |
