This truck runs strong and drives nicely. doesn't burn oil or overheat. Transfercase and locking hubs operate OK. Tires have decent tread. hold air. Original paint shows 48 years of wear and tear as does the glass (cracked sidewindows). but it's been in a desert climate so it's not a rustbucket. Like all IHs of this vintage. the driver door hinges and latch are worn so the door sticks. I've never had the carpet out but floorpans feel solid. Padded dash has cracked open. Previous owner added carpet. headliner. bucket seats. sun visors. tachometer. extra fuel tank. tilt wheel. removed tailgate. Last time I ran it on the freeway there was a vibration. felt like a u-joint but I've not had time to check that out. Has a few oil leaks and perhaps a slight fuel leak (odor at times). has a new uninstalled oil pressure gage. No trailer wire plug. I've had it for about 10 years. used it sporadically for hauling firewood. lumber and backcountry driving. Always got me there and back. negotiated rough muddy roads with no problems. Plenty of power. fun to drive. Could be a great daily driver with a little TLC or the start of a great restorod or rockcrawler. build your own dream! Sold AS-IS. WHERE-IS. No warranty offered!
