Description of 1970 International Harvester Scout |
This 1970 International Scout 800 is a rare Aristocrat model that comes with the line setting ticket that shows it was built this way from the factory, and has the rare sliding side windows on the removable top. The sides have been repainted in the original color, but the top and hood still sport the original dark blue paint, which is of course not perfect, but still has a good shine with some scratches and a couple of small dings. This Scout has no evidence of ever having any cancer anywhere. The original factory rivet indentations show, and the doors open and close like it is still brand new. This Scout had an original automatic transmission, and with a lot of expert workmanship, the original console has been retained for this awesome build. I have a huge stack of receipts for all of the top of the line components used. Everything is new this year, and there is about 400 miles driven on it so far. The list includes: lNew BluePrint 383 stroker with dyno sheet from factory showing 429 Horsepower and 473 Foot Pounds of Torque lNew TCI Maximizer 4x4 700R4 Transmission rated at 550 horsepower lNew Boss Hog Night Stalker Torque Converter; Lockup 2,200-2,800 Stall lNew Re-manufactured NP-208 Transfer Case lNew Sanderson large tube headers running into a stainless steel 2-1/2” exhaust system with removable H pipe. lNew CPT 3.5” suspension lift kit with Bilstein shocks in front and Gabriel air shocks in the rear lFive new 33x10.50x15 General Grabber Tires mounted on the original International Rally Wheels lNew Lokar transmission shifter, JB Transfer Case Shifter, Front and Rear Emergency Brake Cables, Wheel Cylinders, Braided Flex lines, and Shoes. lNew CPT heavy duty steering components lNew Synthetic fluid in both axles with new pinion seals and cast iron covers. Gears are 3.73 front and rear with Posi-Traction in rear. New Posi Additive installed as well lNew Four Core Aluminum Radiator with a Flex-A-Lite model 410 dual S Blade electric fan lNew CVF Billet Serpentine belt system with chrome 140 amp alternator and chrome A/C Pump. A Power Steering Pump can be added easily at any time lNew Hurricane Old Air Products A/C and Heat System lNew Poly Saddle tanks installed in stock location with new Filler Necks, Senders, 3/8” Hard Lines and Selector Valve lNew High Performance Carter Fuel Pump with clear filter and liquid filled pressure gauge lNew Holley 780 double pumper Carb, HEI, Wires and Powermaster PowerMax Starter lNew carpet and upholstery Of course there are many other parts it took to build this Scout, but most of what has been done is listed. It runs and drives beautifully. The steering is precise and smooth, and it has a super turning radius. It gets more thumbs up than my 1968 RS SS Camaro, and is turn key and ready to play. I will need a 500 dollar deposit at the end of the auction, with the balance due within 3 business days by way of Cash or Bank Transfer. I do not agree to accept escrow. My 20 plus years on Ebay and excellent feedback speaks for itself. Feel free to come see the car in person, I would prefer that! As with any used vehicle it is sold “as-is” and any inspections or loans need to be done before the auction ends. Any questions, just ask. Thanks, TJ
