It seems that the more rare the pickup truck the more desirable. Some of these rare pickup trucks can be extremely handsome such as this 1950 International L-110 truck in this eBay auction. The history on this truck is that this was the second year for the truck and the bodywork was made taller to accommodate the bigger engine. beefier chassis and larger wheels. Here at MissChiTown it is our opinion that it is hard to find a better-looking 50s era pickup then the International L-110. Don’t you just love the way the spare is side mounted to the truck and the cab is tall and erect and just very striking! These trucks were known to be work horses yet make fine tour vehicles as they are extremely dependable. This truck was originally used as a farm truck and has what is known as a granny gear. That means that the truck could be put into this very low gear and could proceed at about 3 mph so that the farm hands could harvest and load the truck as it passed by during the harvesting season. The truck was purchased in 2001 and was given a full restoration in 2006. The restorer of this truck is well known for restoring International trucks as he purchased the parts inventory from International Harvester when they stopped making pickup trucks. So most parts that needed to be replaced were replaced with brand new parts still in original boxes. Bolts and screws were replaced with new. New rubber was used for the doors and windows. Much of the truck’s chrome has been rechromed. The seller’s widow has told us that the only upgrade to the vehicle from the original issue is the leather seat. The odometer reads 54. 34 but the widow has told us that there is less then 100 miles on the truck since the restoration. Check out the photos of this truck including the underside photos. could you find a nicer one? The widow is very sentimental about the truck as her husband spent several years getting it restored to the level that it is currently shown. She hopes that it will go to a good home where it will be appreciated and used. This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a very rare truck and a very low reserve. 1950 INTERNATIONAL TRUCKInformation submitted by a knowledgeable truck collector. Please be advised that we received a phone call regarding the 1950 International truck in this ad from somebody who appeared to be a very knowledgeable truck collector. He indicated that the truck is an L110. Apparently there are L110 badges on the truck so we can assume that he is more then likely correct. He also indicated that it is one of the best-looking L110 trucks that he has seen in recent times. He indicated that you could identify this truck as a 1950 because the hinges for the doors are not exposed. and according to him. in 1951 the hinges were exposed. He also complimented the truck on its fantastic condition and new weather seals. He further indicated that the two chrome bars on the grille called “mustache bars” in the fine condition that they are on this truck go on eBay for $1. 00 or more. He also said that very seldom do you find L110s that are not rust buckets and/or all dented up. Here at MissChiTown we know that this is a very fine truck and extremely good looking! We believe that this is a truck you should bid to win and should be most happy that you did. The widow (clear title is in her name) and she had indicated that she would consider an offer of $17. 00 obo if you are interested in buying the truck at this price kindly call 847-774-4857.
