Description of 1986 Isuzu Pickup DLX |
1986 Isuzu Pickup DLX. Well maintained and great running little pickup with a huge bed. How does 30+ MPG sound with today's gas prices? Super Clean, Rust Free!!!! New Fuel Filter New AlternatorNew BatteryNew ShocksNew rear brake cylinder shoes and drumsNew oil return line for turboNew Water Hoses, including heater hosesLED interior lightNew HornNew HVAC controller (in dash) Always starts right up no matter how long it's sat. Has all the options, AC (currently doesn't kick on, it did work, but never needed it in Seattle, so just haven't had it looked into, suspect it just needs to be recharged. Power steering (many of these trucks didn't have that)., AM/FM with Cassette (how retro right?), smooth clutch, and transmission. No mechanical issues, I drove it from Southern CA to Seattle 4-years ago, and have since done the work listed above. But, I'd not hesitate to drive it back to CA, but I would replace the tires first, not because of visible wear, they are just old. I'll work with any shipper for the buyer. There are two sets of tires and wheels, the original wheels with the Isuzu moon hub cabs. The ones on the truck now are from a Mazda, but the size and bolt pattern is the same, and they are "newer" Dunlop tires. Known issues: The AC mentioned before, there's a dent in the rear bumper (picture provided) and there is clear coat failure on the hood and roof. |
