MotorCarTrader.com is thrilled to offer this fully restored 1955 Jaguar XK140 MC Roadster with long term ownership history. This XK140 is the very desirable "MC" or Special Equipment model outfitted with a high compression cylinder head as used on the C-type racing cars, iving it the ability to produce 210 horsepower with a dual exhaust, crankshaft damper, ire wheels, og lamps, nd windshield washers. The XK140 was an improved from the previous XK120 with such upgrades as precise rack and pinion steering, mproved brakes and cooling, lus more cabin comfort and legroom. The date of production of this special car was January 26 of 1955 and the date of dispatch was March 5 of 1955. The original distributor was Max Hoffman in New York and the first owner was K. Bemant. We purchased this Jaguar XK140MC Open Two Seater (OTS) from the owner who had this car for over 20 years (since 1993). We do have history on this car going back to 1960 as the same family owned this car from 1960 to 1992 before. As we understand, he car has 910 miles since it was previously body off restored. This Jaguar has the original and matching number engine (head and block). The 4 speed transmission was upgraded with another correct 4-speed transmission with the desirable electric overdrive. The car was completed in the gorgeous color combination of Red with Biscuit/Red leather (Duotone) interior. Prior to our purchase of this car, t was sitting for about a year, o we had to go through everything on this great car. This work is documented in the form of invoices and receipts, s well as some pictures of the engine work done. Furthermore, here are pictures from the prior restoration of the car. This Jaguar XK runs and drives wonderful. The oil pressure is excellent as is the compression which is 1)-155 psi, )155, )150, )145, )150, )145. The electric overdrive engages nicely in 4th gear. This car comes with the Heritage Certificate to confirm the original matching engine number (head and block) with the chassis number and to also to confirm that it is indeed an original XK140 SE with the original C-type head. The exhaust note is fabulous and so much vintage Jaguar or the way they are supposed to sound. This XK140MC is an absolute joy to drive and has plenty of power.

Overall, his is a beautiful example of a rare Jaguar XK140MC Roadster. This car was completed to be a great show/driver car. Some consider the XK140 Roadster to be the most beautiful of the XK series. This is a wonderful investment car which should appreciate nicely and provide for miles of driving enjoyment.
