Bodywork and paint work done prior to this ownership VIN 2R28418 This is a complete. running car. with the exception of missing chrome trim and wiper blades. that needs restoration work in multiple areas beyond my ambitions and financial and technical aptitude. 1 Owned since 1989 Mileage: 62. 20 2 Drove for 3000 miles 1st year of ownership. about 1000 miles 2nd year. then probably less than 300 miles since then till present 3 Since 2000. this car has been driven several times a year for short distances. and lately it is started and driven several times a week. 4 Work repairs done since owned: A replaced exhaust B replaced electric fuel pump C replaced ignition switch D 2009-2010 replaced Michelin redline tires. with new 4 Coker redline tires less than 300 miles on tires Original Michelin on the spare tire. E in '99-2000 invested $3500 for tune up. clutch. oil change. valve adjustment. etc. Import Automotive in Toledo. Ohio looked at all the mechanicals from front to back of the vehicle and fixed everything to put the car into a worry free “daily driver” condition. Import Automotive has done all the work on this Jag. The owner “Tracy” among other things. rebuilds and restores classic vehicles with a focus on classic Jags. https://foursquare. com/v/import-automotive/4f2840a7e4b0d161c26ce06aF replaced hatch window seals 11/14 G replaced battery This car has been running great. starts right up. runs smooth and strong. drives straight. Work to be done : 1 Rubber kit all around --rubber seals are drying out 2 interior work—inner door base coverings somewhat warped. needs clips to secure. reset chrome trim 3 leather upholstery finish is coming loose around edges in various areas-doors and hatch in particular 4 previous body and paint work has been done prior to this purchase -exterior door surface on driver's side uneven . Bonnet “nose” air intake opening shows cracking paint as does rear pan underside and sills. 5 Windshield shows scratching from previous owners worn wiper blades. current wiper blades not original 6 Floor pans rusting through and sills also show scattered stages of rusting as does hatch base 7 paint nicks. shrink marks and scratches and small dings scattered around various areas of body 8 some sections of chrome trim around windshield and hatch missing due to rubber seal dry rot 9 Air conditioning fan blower works but not cold 10 Electrical system “touchy” sometime tach and other accessories work sometimes not --most of the time just twisting the fuses in the dash panel fixes everything. 11 Rust repair needed in areas photographed 12 Brakes are currently “spongy” --sometimes need to depress brake pedal a 2nd time to fully engage brakes to stop vehicle-- possible air in line as brake fluid level was extremely low prior to refilling. 13 Ignition starter switch sticks in position which engages the starter motor and must be manually rotated back to disengage starter once engine fires. 14 Small hole in exhaust pipe behind left muffler in front of resonator pipe connection junction.
