Welcome JAGUAR lovers.... You are about to learn about a very special car. You are now viewing my European specification All American 1968 Jaguar XKE series 1 Open Two Seater .Included with this car is the Jaguar Heritage certificate stating the year of this car to be 1967.It does have a 1.5 upgraded interior so this car is on the cusp of a changeover from 1 to 1.25 and 1.5 series. This car has been the subject of an 18 month cost no object virtual re manufacture. With the exception of the Engine, ransmission and original body..over 95% of all other parts have been replace, ot restore, With at or above original quality Official Jaguar parts or better. Built in December 1967, t arrived in the USA in January 1968 and was registered in 68' This XKE started out life as a one owner southern California car, nd remained a single owner car its entire life till 2014. Because of the completely accident fre, ust free ownership history this car has, t was hand selected to receive a process such as I am about to explain. The following remanufacture consists of but is not limited to these procedures and replacement Items. It would take more words than I am allotted here to describe all that has been done, will leave your imagination up to the rest when you finish reading this ad and reviewing all the pics. To Star, every single removable part was disassembled and the undercarriage was perfected, ust proofed and painted with the rest of car. The Original 4.2 engine with matching Jaguar Heritage cert. has been rebuilt to modern day standards including modern seals, ew pistons, ew up rated cams and valves . The fitment of an electronic distributor and brand new triple SU carbs along with new ceramic coated headers and a new SS exhaust syste, new high efficiency Evans Alloy radiator and a HD cooling fan ensure timeless, ffortless reliability in a car ready for Trans continental travel today.To take reliability one step furthe, completely new wiring harness and electrical systems have been fitted. For longevity not necessity, n entire new square tube engine sub frame has been fitted with an E type Fabs of England superior quality original spec frame redo.. This is a no holds barred, ost no object remanufacture of this incredible specimen. The original 4 speed transmission has been overhauled and shifts better than original specifications as are the new clutch and new master and slave hydraulics. All Moving and non moving Suspension parts were up rated with poly bushings..All external suspension part, atches, inkages, onnet and trunk closures, rake calipers and hardware were Nickel plated. As a protection factor this Nickel plating is an unbeatable time consuming expensive yet positive addition to protecting vital parts from age and atrition.This process shows, nd lifts the overall ambience of the car above restoration quality to museum quality. The underside of this car is beyond perfect...Yes you can eat off of the floor pans. Front Brakes are now up rated nickel plated Wilwood calipers, ll master cylinders, ervos and brake lines are new not restored. all new rotors compliment the system. A New up rated alternator and high torque starter have been installed. All relays, egulators, use boxes, attery and mounting hardware is new. Bonnet braces and spring hinge assemblies are NEW .nothing inside engine compartment has any signs of age or wear. The nickel plated handbrake assembly is up rated for dual action brake disc control and assemblies and cables are new. The handbrake function is a 100% improvement over original. All 6 Shock absorbers and springs are new. The rear diff has been rebuilt and detail finished and painted ox blood red. Universal joints are new. All chrome has been up rated to Hexavalent triple chrome plate and is flawless show quality. The 5 Wire wheels are all new Dayton 15" by 6" ...Center Laced donning the widest 215/65 Pirelli tires that the car can manage without incidence. The Entire original spec Black Plush Leather Interior is new.the seat frames are new. There are no signs of age on anything .It is all original specification from England and flawless. Dynamat was used throughout the cabinas sound insulation and creates a feeling of luxury that is un explainably perfect.The original convertible top frame was stripped and refinished in original spec paint. The German canvas top is new and unimaginably well fit. A new factory orig spec trunk mat set is installed. A New 3 point modern seat belt system has been invisibly installed and does not detract from period looks. The steering wheel is new and 1" smaller diameter than original for greater comfort and control. In a nutshell, ll chrome trim strips, ubber tri, ll door and window mouldings,all mirrors, ll wipers and hardware, ll bearings and bushings, ll name plates all clips and screws all rock guards and grills, ll interior bits and pieces are new.Not a single wear mark on any nu, olt or screw in engine compartment,New sugar scoops, ew heater box, he carb adjustment screws were set once and are all new with no marring.The air boxes and manifolds are new, he fire wall shows new and all that attaches is new such as windshield washer containers and heater valves etc... All SS Brake lines,resevoirs and Hoses, ashboard switches, hoke and heater controls and connecting hardware is new.All Headlights and assemblies are new, ll tail lights and assemblies are new, he reverse light and front marker lights are new. The Pistons are 20 + Mahl, harmonic vibration balancer has been installed on crankshaft.All related parts to engine rebuild have been replaced and engine is at or above race quality standards.When idleing you cannot tell the engine is on..that's quite an achievement for an XKE!. ..A modern day process as this is no less than a $200,000.00+ expense plus the cost of a suitable donor car. Receipts and process of labour records are included To top it off, epoxy primer coats were applied to body and sanded inbetween and then 5 coats of Carmen red GLASURIT paint was applied wet sanded and clear coated. the external end product is the best, ardest most long lasting, on fading paint process available today.To ad to that a professional 60 hour detailing to pebble beach standards with an ultra fine 3 stage dual action polishing regimen has just been completed 9/2015. In shor, here is no way another restoration and or remanufacture could achieve better results on this model of Jaguar XKE. This car is no less than brand new. With less than 500 local miles in perfect weather since restoration...This car is as new and even nicer than the day it left its makers headquarters in Coventry England almost 50 years ago.
