For those who know Jaguars, hey know the 1962 Mark II 3.8L was the fastest of the Mark II's and mostdrive-abletoday. This was a much loved car in it'sheyday. It had18% more in cabin glass area over the Mark I which greatly improving vision. The car was re-engineered above the waistline, lender front pillars allowed a wider windscreen and the rear window almost wrapped around to the enlarged side windows now with the familiar Jaguar D-shape above the back door and fully chromed frames for all the side windows. The radiator grille was amended and larger side, ail and fog lamps repositioned. Inside a new heating system was fitted and ducted to the rear compartment. There was an improved instrument layout that became standard for all Jaguar cars. Today at auction with little restoration these cars average $37,000 in auction and top off at +$100k forimpeccable restorations.
