Description of 1956 Jaguar XK |
1956 Jaguar XK140 FHC The story as told to me by the gentleman that had the vehicle for several years. He had bought the car from a gentleman who had taken the car ("a fairly nice running and driving car" ) to a shop to be restored. While the vehicle was there, he shop went out of business and by the time he had recovered his vehicle, he engine, ransmission, ear axle ("dummy axle"tacked in place for transport) and seats were missing. The steel in the car is excellent but as you can see from the photos, he front and rear bumper holes have been filled in (with metal) and the rear fenders were molded in. All reversible if someone wanted to back all original and considering the condition of the sheet metal, t would make great candidate for original restoration. I was actually considering updating the drive train and making a "Restomod"out of it but that seemed to rub a few Jaguar enthusiast wrong way and after seeing what the body parts go for, can see why. So, ith all that being said, 'm looking to sell my 1956 Jaguar XK140 FHC. It has a clear title in my name and all the parts pictured, lus three boxes of parts not shown full of misc. parts. BTW- The last photo, he photo of the green Jaguar is not this car. I wanted to add a photo of an assembled XK140 FHC for those unfamiliar with the car. Give me a call if you have any questions.
