1955 Jaguar D-Type RoadsterJust arrived is this fabulous 1956 Jaguar D-Type replica.This chassis was designed and built by Reynard Cars in England.The car is not running and will need completing but all the big work has been done.It has been fastidiously built up over a long period by an engineer is California.It is a steel chassis with a composite body.It has a 3.8 litre Jaguar engine on triple Weber carburetors. The engine was rebuilt 10 years ago. It is mated to a Jaguar 4-speed gearbox.Braking, uspension and steering systems are all in place but will need finishing.Brake lines and wiring harness included.All parts on the car, rom rear lights to gauges, re period Jaguar pieces.We have about 4 boxes of parts to help complete the car, s well.The Dunlop wheels have been imported in from the UK.To complete the car I feel that another $15 - $20,000 will be needed to finish the car properly.The chassis and body are in perfect condition along with the paint.This Jag comes with period correct black plates and a clean title.Very few original cars were built and very few replicas were built also.
