***** PHOTOS #2-21 WERE TAKEN IN OCTOBER 2016***** ***#22-24 WERE TAKEN IN JANUARY 2017*** THIS IS THE ONE YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!! THIS MAY BE YOUR LAST CHANCE: A PENDING SALE,NO CASH HAS BEEN PUT DOWN, JUST A VERY INTERESTED BUYER WHO MAY BE HERE TO DRIVE AND PURCHASE THE CAR IN TWO WEEKS. Upgraded items include:Brakes:V12 ventilated front discs with aluminum 4 ss piston calipers from Coopercraft in England. Matching aluminum/ss pistons rear caliper kit and drilled discs. Relocate, easy to reach rear brake bleeder valves. Green Kev brake pads. All new ss brake and clutch lines.Cooling:CoolCat otter switch, high output motor and 10 blade fan for 2,450 cfm, x4 original air flow. Uprated copper/brass radiator with custom removable/cleanable bug screen in front of radiator- behind rock guard. Silicone cooling hoses. Auxiliary fan ground switch under steering wheel which is good for hot city traffic and to test the fan relay for confidence.Engine:Aluminum flywheel for easy revvingand response. 9:1 std. pistons ceramic coated to help cooling, Total Seal rings, Terry's Competition Rods. Uprated front seal and single rear seal-no asbestos rope! Stage 2 head with larger valves and cams, valve guide hold downs... Petronix electronic ignition and 7mm Magnecore wires,Uprated engine mounts.Suspension:CJ's large front sway bar, Poly front bushings, IRS Bronze bushings,$1000 Spax adjustable shocks with new rear springs. Sealed front lower ball joints.Other upgrades:Solid state clock and gauge voltagestabilizer, 4 horns (two original hi lo and two hi low unseen in the nose of the bonnet). Two pairs are on two separate relays and separate power leads which result in AMAZING HORNS. The Four Horns of the Apocalypse! Really! Great in an emergency, also makes concours judges JUMP. The other cars on the field wonder why their horns don't sound like that... After sitting for the last few months I checked everything out, all switches and lights work perfectly including the cigar lighter. Last week I greased all U-joints, changed oil, gearbox and final drive fluids, installed new plugs cap and rotor. Test drove it every dry day I could find and will continue to exercise it until sold.Current mileage is 10,700 miles.1/23/17 compression test was a nice consistent 160 psi on all 6 cylinders - warmed up with all plugs out and throttle opened. Consistent compression is the key to synchronizingthe 3 carburetors properly. Excellent oil pressure, 60+ psi at cold start, 50+ psi when warm at speed and 40-45 at idle. Clutch is excellent, never abused. Clutch pedal is never used unless taking off... never hold clutch pedal down while idling which will wear the engine thrust bearings. The ONLY thing the car needs is the trip meter (not the odometer) has skipped a gear or something ever since the maiden run. Theodometer works perfectly. I'll send it back to Nisonger Instruments to correct before the summer season if it does not sell. Contact John with any questions at 541-435-4163. Complete 3 year rotisserie restoration resulting in two 2008 JCNA Concours Championship Division First Place shows.Three 2008 Concours scores were: First place 99.98. First place 99.60 - water spots on a bumper and a smudge. Western States Concours third place 98.95 deducted for 185/70 tire size and RED paint on the Jaguar wheel spinners. Whatever!!! The 2008 three score average was 99.51 Nationally placed 8th- SeeJaguar Journal Feb. 2009 pg 21 Competition Results C-05 E-Typecategory on exkdata. I have since painted the spinner lettering black (like red better), updated the radio, a zippered rear window top, and new Vredestein 185 tires. Please find 264+ nothing-to-hide photos of the restoration leaving nothing to the imagination at: xkedata.com/cars/detail/?car=1E12025 All of the 'incorrect' upgrade items were put back to original before the 2008 Concours season. Please take your time, there is a lot to see there with photo caption texts add information and comments. This car runs COOL in any weather! For the 2008 Western States ConcoursI drove it from Oregon through Las Vegas east to Texas in 108 degree weather. Then back up through New Mexico and down to Grand Junction Colorado in August . (That's where I was discounted for some water spots on the bumper...not a trailer queen) Anyway, the temperaturegauge never got out of the safe zone all the way (even in stop and go traffic) and back through Utah, Nevada to Oregon. That was 4,000 miles of the current 10,466 miles on the odometer.I recommend you come and see the car in person, it drives like a dream.Daimler - Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate #16324 documents these original colors and sale in San Francisco California May 5, 1966.Please contact me (see phone# below) with any questions I can answer or any photos you need.
