This car is a driver and not intended to be a trailer queen. Reason for Selling: Looking to reduce my collection and put my efforts in my other car's. Pedigree: First owner Herma Hill Kay, Berkeley, California 1968-2008 Second owner, Monte Sheldon owner of Monte Sheldon Jaguar Dealership, Portland Oregon 2008-2013 Current owner, South Carolina 2013-Present Pro's-- All engine, transmission matching numbers Documented Jaguar Heritage Certificate Nov 2015-Nov 2016 car was in Austin, TX undergoing a $45K Documented full engine rebuild from Classic Jaguar out of Austin, Texas, --- transmission rebuild, new cooling system, new radiator with improved cooling fan, new front suspension to include new shocks, bushing, torsion bars, etc. New steering rack, new and improved high torque engine starter, new battery, new lines, restored speedometer, etc. Have 400 miles on car since rebuild. --all documented through invoices and cancelled checks as well as Classic Jaguar website documenting full engine rebuild on this particular car. Bottom line, I have done the hard work and investment for the new owner to have this car for years to come without having to deal with any uncertainty in the mechanical realm. This is not a "fresh rebuild or engine pulls strong" flowery language type rebuild, but an honest rebuild from one of the nations top Jaguar E type professionals. All lights and instruments work less clock Turn key ready No accidents, clean title Final model year for the Series 1 before Series 2 4 Speed Manual transmission Excellent Chrome, Original Glass, Excellent Paint and Rubber Seals Recently replaced master brake cylinder Additional Items: Car manual (non original) Original car jack / Thor hammer in original case Original spare fuses Original radio literature Original maintenance log Original headliner/sun visors/Interior panels Original Kangol 3-point safety belts Original blaupunkt radio that came with car as well as original manual and associated documents with radio LED tail lights-have original bulbs can always be converted back, but found LEDs to be brighter during the day and night, thereby avoiding accidents. LED instrument bulbs for dash gauges so you can read the gauges. Can easily be changed back to stock 1968 Jaguar XKE - Walkaround Tour On Feb-16-17 at 18:36:18 PST, seller added the following information: FOR FULL PHOTO'S--- google XKEDATA website and enter Vin 1E35405 Any questions please ask On Feb-17-17 at 05:52:18 PST, seller added the following information: For engine rebuild DETAILS and PHOTOS---See Classic Jaguar website out of Austin Texas----go to ENGINE REBUILDING TAB and click the blue letters "a selection of engine rebuilds in progress and look for Job #2169 (4.2 E Type) FULL ENGINE REBUILD---Should be 4th row down, far left and click on pictures (34 pictures total) just for engine rebuild.......EBAY does not allow me to embed website outside of ebay On Feb-17-17 at 14:18:57 PST, seller added the following information: I am not going to publish what my reserve is. Rest assured THIS car is both mechanically and exterior, interior sound car that is priced very, very reasonable to sell unlike many on this site that are asking far too much for what little, generic description (no mention of history, documentation, mechanicals, bodywise, etc) of the cars they are selling be it a Series 1 or the Series 3 model. I am not a dealer holding on to a car looking for a profit, nor am I includinga "history of the E type Jaguar" in the description, that's wasted space in my opinion ...If you are bidding, you know what you are bidding on and the history behind the E type, so Ifyou are a collector, you know that you never can or will get your money out of what you have put into a collectible car. I am NOT looking at a profit as it will never happen, but I know this car is priced for selling and whoever gets this car will get a great car and a wise investment courtesy of my efforts. Thanks and good luck on your bidding. On Feb-18-17 at 14:11:18 PST, seller added the following information: Question 1...Is this the original paint? No it;s not the original paint. It is the original color (Pale Primrose Yellow) PPY- that was applied to this chassis when it left the factory on April 4, 1968. as per Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate. On Feb-18-17 at 15:09:17 PST, seller added the following information: The ENTIRE car was delivered to Classic Jaguar for the rebuild and enhancements and ALL work was completed, installed and tested by the professionals at Classic Jaguarthere on site.. The car was sent as a complete unit for the rebuild and other upgrades, not just sending a engine to be rebuild only to be installed by a local mechanic. That's not the case here! |
