1961 Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Series 1 The previous owner made a complete cosmetic restoration, addressing all interior and exterior aspects of the car around 2000. Complete paint and interior were completed to their original colors, along with many minor updates to the mechanical aspects as well. The entire front braking system has been completely rebuilt with brake calibers sent to White Post, new lines, pads, and fluid. The carburetors have been completely rebuilt. It starts easily, runs very well, and handles great. The body is very straight with excellent gaps and door fitment. The rockers are clean and straight and the car has no signs of any rust issues or previous rust issues. The interior shows very well, with its deep red leather, carpets, and trunk space. Very nice headliner, clean dash, good aluminum center console and dash face. Mechanically this E-type performs very well with strong power through the rev range and shifts well for an early gearbox. Handling is responsive and does well during spirited driving. The engine is smooth, the clutch works well and everything seems to be in proper working order.
