Description of 1988 Jaguar XJ6

I acquired this one of a kind XJ6 directly from the artist who spent 1200 hours painting it. I have to sell it along with the other projects I don't have time for. See all my listings to see them.
I expect I will take a loss on this car, but need to move it along to someone that can actually do the project.Mechanically it is in decent shape. It has the 3.6L straight 6 fuel injected DOHC engine. The engine was replaced and the engine appears to be sound. It was driven to my location in Massachusetts by the artist from New York. Body and interior are fair (see pics). Tires are good. Driver's door lock sticks.
It needs some mechanical work on transmission since it will not go into reverse. I don't know if it is just linkage or a tranny issue. So I have not driven it. It also needs paint touch ups - especially on the horizontal surfaces which have peeling varnish (see pics). I would recommend the buyer clear coat the car properly. If you wish to have the original artist touch up the paint, I can contact him on your behalf and see if he will do it for a fee. That will be between you and him.
The car will come with a Bill of Sale and a valid Massachusetts title certificate that you can use to title it in any state. This vehicle also comes with an appraisal done in 2012 by a licensed vehicle appraiser. At that time it appraised for $5,250.
