Description of 1966 Jaguar Mark X |
This car has been in a barn for 20 years. It is a clean rust free car. No rust on the floors or body. Runs, drives, and the brakes work. All lights and gauges work. The car was repainted 20 + years ago. After I washed and polished it, it came out great. Nice for a daily driver. The only paint damage I see is the passenger side lower fender and rocker (it is scratched) see photo. The Chrome is driver quality, Not show quality. The windshield molding is loose. The hub caps are pitted. The rest of the chrome is in good shape. I just installed 5 new tires. 4 on the car and 1 for the spare. The fuel tanks were drained and cleaned, as well as the fuel pumps. The car runs great. It does have an exhaust leak. The flex pipe is broken. Right now I have a piece of pipe with 2 exhaust clamps to hold it together. Easy fix. The interior is the worst part of the car. because it sat in a barn for years with the drivers side window open, a raccoon got into it and tore the seats up. All window function, besides the passenger side front door. It is missing the driver side door panel. It does have the original owners manual and paper work. The trunk is in good shape, with all cardboard still intact. There are boxes with extra engine tune up parts in it. This is car should be trailered only because it has been sitting for 20 years. I do not know how reliable it will be just to drive it home. If you have any questions please feel free to message me for my phone number. The car is for sale locally as well. Buyer is responsible for shipping the car. A $500 deposit is due via paypal with in 48 hours after close of auction. |
