1939 Jaguar SS Saloon 1. 5L. Originally a British Embassy car in Thailand during WWll. Was bought to the US by a USAF major who put it in storage with the intention of restoring it. He sold it in the 70's and again it went into storage until it was bought at auction by the present owner who has spent almost $30. 00 in restoration work. When it arrived at the restoration shop the oil was changed. hooked to a battery and started. The motor ran and sounded good. It is not in running condition now. The body has been restored and the main shell painted. It was put together with a minimum of hardware to show what the final project will look like.
