You are bidding on what you see in the photos and nothing more (although rear fenders and spats come with it). This is a solid 1951 XK120 Fixed Head Coupe body shell sitting on a brand new, powder coated Absolute XKs frame made in Europe. The frame is an early style frame appropriate for an early coupe and the workmanship is equal to, if not better than, factory. The body shell (currently just sitting on the frame) will have to be transported separately from the frame to avoid scraping the new black powder coating on the frame. The body still has its original ID plate (Actual VIN withheld until ownership changes). I have supplied the early bonnet shown in the photos as well as the boot lid, which is in poor to fair condition. Comes with clear title (Heritage certificate has been requested). This was originally a disk wheel car. Pod on detached fender is heavily damaged and should probably be replaced. Rest of metal is surprisingly solid; even the sills could be saved by a good metal guy. I have no doors for this car. Very nice pair of rear fenders and fender skirts original to the car will transfer with the car. I have sourced an early engine and proper ENV/2HA rear end and will provide this information to the new owner. I have also sourced a JH gearbox, RH coupe door, and stock other XK120 parts that I would provide at a reasonable price to the new owner/restorer. This car deserves to be saved and restored but my plans have changed and I may have to move soon and do not have the space or time to devote to a proper restoration. No reserve. Starting bid may own this desirable model XK120. Pickup must be within three weeks of sale. Winning bidder to pay in full within 72 hours after end of auction. Paypal will not be accepted as form of payment; prefer electronic transfer of funds.
