1992 JAGUAR XJS - V12
CONVERTIBLE!!
ONLY 47K ORIGINAL MILES!!
When you think of a well designed automobile, you think of words like sharp, beautiful andexquisite. But very few automotive designers are able to encompass decades of designs that collaborates all of its heritage and also give you a taste of where the company is headed. Not very often does that happen, but when it does, the car and its design and style becomes timeless. That's exactly what this 1992 Jaguar XJS is........timeless. When you look at this car it is undeniably a Jaguar in every sense. Its large v-12 engine, its fine wood trim and soft leather but most importantly its presence. It boasts success, stature and the finest sense of luxury money can buy. These cars were the last of their kind, the big V-12 convertibles. That's why they are becoming highly sought after and highly collectible.
This particular 1992 Jaguar XJS was a local car from day one. It belonged to a doctor who bought the car right off the showroom floor. When negotiating the deal, he negotiated the pictures hanging on the walls of the showroom to be included with the purchase price. He didn't stop there, he upgraded the steering wheel to the deluxe wooden wheel along with the upgraded shift knob and ordered all weather floor mats. He was a successful doctor and he wanted to show off his success with his purchase. The vehicle was ALWAYS garaged kept and serviced regularly. When in the garage it was covered with the custom fit car cover that was purchased from the dealership. Everything was saved, including all paper work, dealer brochures, window sticker and yes, the photos off the wall from the dealer showroom. As time went on the Jag was driven less and less and the doctor wanted to sell the vehicle. Its current owner is a private collector and care taker of classic GM muscle cars and GM luxury cars. But like the doctor, he was so impressed with the vehicle that he added it to his collection. Please read on to find out more about this Jaguar and be sure to view the pictues and the video at the end. Thank you!
Exterior:
The exterior wears its original champagne color paint and presents in excellent condition. It shines and has great depth. The bright work is brilliant and the wheels are all in excellent original condition. The glass is clear and damage free. The body is straight and rust free and so is the underneath. All the lights and marker lights are functional and damage free. The top is in excellent original condition with no rips, tears, holes, or fades. The only thing this exterior will need is a mild detail and polish other then that this car is good to go or show. Its an original car with low miles not zero miles. So expect minor, minor road wear. Please view all the pictures and video and let me know of any questions you may have.
Interior:
The interior of this Jaguar is in beautiful original condition. It almost looks like no one has ever sat in it. The wood inlays are in excellent condition and not cracked or damaged. The soft leather is beautiful and still smells new. Nothing like the smell of a new Jag and its fine luxury! The dash and door panels are in excellent condition and the console is beautiful. All electronics work as they should and the radio sounds beautiful. The interior of the trunk is plush, original and clean and presents excellent. There is a multi disc changer in the trunk as well which works great. You would be hard pressed to find another Jaguar interior this clean. Please view all the photos and video and let me know of any questions.
Drive-Train:
This 5.3L v-12 runs quiet, smooth yet very strong. The engine bay is clean and original. Oil changes were done regularly and the car was always maintained. The transmission shifts smooth and strong. Underneath the car is solid and all components are in excellent condition. The exhaust is the original Jaguar stainless exhaust system and it in excellent condition. Tires, brakes, suspension, belts and hoses are all road worthy and this car is ready for the road. There is a video at the bottom which includes a short ride, please make sure you view the video. Also view all the pictures of the engine compartment and notice how clean and unmolested it is.
In Summation:
There are a lot of ingredients that make up a collector car. But no matter which car you collect, a big engine and a drop top are highest on the list. Wrap the Jaguar name around a well preserved car that is full of luxury, heritage and style and you have a great vehicle to add to your collection. The XJS is becoming a very sought after vehicle, it symbolizes the best of the best for Jaguar. Thank you for reading all about this Jag and please let me know of any questions you may have.
