1994 Jaugar XJS 2+2 Convertible Own this 24 year old classic now for only $8775!I am retired and want to sell this great car now so make a decent offer. 1994 was the first model year of the factory 2+2 convertible. The low VIN number makes it a very early 1994 model year US import. Good overall shape with 53,877 miles as of this posting. This is not a trailer queen for auto shows and it is not a daily driver. I have only driven this car in good weather and it has been garaged as long as I have owned it. A complete Experian AutoCheck vehicle history report is available. See it above. The body is in decent shape with a few small chips to be expected for a car of this age. I have provided a lot of pictures so you can judge the condition. I believe the car was repainted at some point in the past. If so it looks like good job. The paint is Flamenco Red Metallic and shines up good. The driver side has a scratch on the side which I show in one of the pictures. I think the previous owner used a paint pen to cover over it but probably needs to be repaired. I never repaired it because the damage is below the side line and not very noticeable from most vantage points. The front spoiler is damaged and would need repair and painted. This is the second XJS I have owned and the front spoiler is cracked on most of the XJS's that have them. Did not bother me enough to have it fixed. Figured I would probably just run up too close on something and damage it as soon as it was fixed. The convertible top goes up and down good. The previous owner gave me instructions to stop about half way down and make sure rear window is not in a bind so I do that with no problem. The top does have couple of light small stains on it but no rips or tears. Good shape for the age. When hitting the windows with a pressurized car wash wand the top leaks water at the top front of the front windows. I have not driven the car in the rain but I think it will only leak when having the pressure water wand pointed directly at that area. 2 cup holders are showing on the console. They were special made by a person on ebay and I installed them soon after I purchased the car. I have the original chrome cigar ashtrays that go in their place. The cup holders are easily removed so you can put back the ashtrays. I don't think the ashtrays were ever used. I don't smoke but I do not know enough about the history of the car to know if previous owners smoked in the car or not. My guess would be no because interior is pretty good shape. The wood strips on the front doors are faded and could stand to be re-laqured. I have the original leather book holder and I show a picture of that with the set of keys that go with the car. The remote does not work for the locks that I can tell. It may need to be reset or calibrated. I have never used it. The battery and alternator are about 1 year old. I had the valve cover gasket replaced about 200 miles back. The engine has a puff of smoke when cold start up but none after that. Very smooth running and people comment about how quiet the engine is. The tires are BF Goodrich TA's and have less than 400 miles on them. The original Goodyear spare tire and lattice wheel are in the trunk as pictured. The tire has obviously never been on the road. Wire wheels were not a factory option on these 94's and most of the North American models have dealer option Dayton wheels on them. The wire wheels on this car are MWS from Great Britain. I think they may have been installed in Coventry before being shipped to the US. MWS does not make spinners for the Jaguar now so i created my own using Mustang spinners and put on Jaguar Growler Centers. Look fairly good and I think they look better than the factory lattice wheels. The previous owner installed a Panasonic AM/FM Stereo with CD. I do not have the original radio and the trunk mounted cd player was not in the car when I got it. Sounds ok but needs lots more bass. I think they kept the original speakers when they changed out the stereo. There were only a few option add-ons available for this model. This car has the All Weather Package with the headlamp power wash and engine block heater. I strongly suggest you make an appointment with me to look at the car in person. You can contact me through ebay and I can probably meet you within a few miles of my location. No Joy Rides! I will get your information and ride with you for a test drive. This is a classic and it will not be abused while I own it. I am sure someone will ask if the car is drivable for a thousand mile journey. My answer is that I drive the car around town with no fear of it breaking down. However, the car is 24 years old and I am sure it has most of the original parts so any part is probably subject to needing to be replaced. I suggest that you have the car hauled to your location. There should be a link to check prices at the top of the page. This car is for sale as is where is with no warranty stated or implied. Buyer is responsible for all transportation costs. I will help load car if needed. If you would like a pre-purchase inspection I will help you get it. There are 2 shops I recommend. I do not know what the charge is but If you contact them and decide to have it done, prepay for it and let me know and I will set up an appointment.
