1953 Jaguar XK120 FHC "S" model with ALL numbers matching including chassis, body, gearbox, engine block & cylinder head as photographed. This is in driver condition although some of the lights & other electrical not working. MECHANICALLY RESTORED: as described above. These cars were a milestone marque reaching 120 mph with only 2500 total FHC (coupes) ever built & only a fraction remaining. In fact, the XK120 FHC model is the most rare of all 120's. This car is very solid with only minor signs of rust. The chassis & floor pans are excellent. I believe the original color can be seen here and there; especially on the firewall. The seat bottoms & one door panel also appear to be original. The grille is in show condition. The mileage is showing 65720 but the speedometer cable isintermittentso I am not sure what the actual mileage is.The interior wood needs to be completely refinished and/or replaced. The dual temp & oil pressure gauge was rebuilt. The oil pressure is at max upon start up and drops to 35 lbs at 700 rpm when fully warmed up. The pressure is 50-60 lbs at higher RPM's. All work performed to date should be considered excellent and worthy of finishing the car to show standards. A non-refundable deposit of $1,000 due through Paypal within 24 hours of auction close. I am only selling to appease my wife and get my youngest through college. I am generally available from 8:00 AM CST until 10:00PM CST at 319721 forty three fifty six.
