Description of 1990 Jaguar XJS

You're viewing my 1990 Jaguar XJ-S V12 convertible. The car only has 59k original miles and overall is in very nice shape for a 30 year old car! Within the last few months I have had the entire car painted (single stage now, clearcoat was worn and paint was faded) and a brand new German cloth soft top and headliner professionally installed. The leather seats are in good condition and the carpets/mats are clean. Dash top is nice, no cracks. Some of the clear on the wood surround of the shifter and doors was cracked and peeling (common) so my upholstery guy custom covered them with black leather. It looks very good! Aftermarket Parrot audio system (box/manuals in trunk). Electronics are working properly i.e. power windows, power top, seats, etc.
Note: I had just washed the car for the pics so the spots you see around it are from water dripping off after I moved it.
The car runs and drives well. Brakes and tires are good. I've put a little over 1,300 miles on it since purchasing last Fall. I use it mainly as a Sunday driver. Every now and then it makes a noise that I think is the fan clutch. It doesn't do it all the time. I haven't had it looked at but it runs and drives fine. I own several cars, so nothing is driven excessively as I rotate what I drive. I recently purchased a BMW 335i twin-turbo convertible with retractable metal hardtop to be more of a practical daily driver...I have small kids, and they can both ride in the back of the BMW. That's not a possibility with this Jag as it has the "rear seat delete/storage" option. So, it is time for the Jag to go to a new good home. These classic Jags are starting to come into their own and increase in value. I am starting the bidding at only $6,000 with no reserve. I would rate this as a Hagerty #3 (Good condition) car, valued around $14,000. Again, this is a no reserve auction! Last bid wins. I will however entertain offers to end the listing early for the right price. Just shoot me a message.
Please have all of your finances in order prior to bidding. I require a $500 PayPal deposit immediately following the auction, and the balance is to be bank wired within 3 business days. I will gladly keep the car safe and secure at my home while you arrange shipping. Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. All sales are final. Zero feedback bidders must contact me prior to bidding or your bid will be cancelled. I have had some bad experiences in the past. Thank you.
Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
