Description of 1991 Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign |
1991 Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign Sedan (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this 1991 Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign 4-door sedan on a website other than our Garage Kept Motors site, it's possible that you've only seen some of our many photographs of this vehicle due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the more than 125 photographs, please go to our main website: GarageKeptMotors.) "... (the XJ6 sedan) combined refinement, luxury, 120-mph performance, and superb handling." –Paul Duchene, 4/18/2018 For Jaguar enthusiasts, no other brand matches the allure of "the leaping cat." In their view, competitors-especially the German variety like Mercedes, BMW, and Audi-while mechanically efficient and precise, lack a certain grace, a flair that has long been built into the automobiles coming from Jaguar works in Coventry, England. When you sit behind the wheel, surrounded by the very British interior touches and features, and hear the engine note from a legendary Jaguar straight-six engine, the experience is one unmatched in the world of premium automobiles. Offered here, is a well cared-for, low-mileage, early 1990s XJ6 Sovereign sedan. The overall condition of the car reflects both owner care and the restrained use of under 3,000 miles per-year over its life. The more than 125 high-definition photographs available at the GarageKeptMotors online site capture the condition from virtually every angle. Specific additional photographs are available by request. The exterior white paint shows high luster overall with an absence of sun-fading or dulling from improper care. Chrome trim (including the dual exhaust tips) and emblem-including the historic leaping-cat hood ornament-all shine brightly. A slight haze is present on the headlight lenses, but this could be inexpensively refreshed. The car's matched set of Michelin tires (another indication of the owner's commitment to the car) retain plenty of tread, and the condition of the alloy wheels is very good with only slight signs of road rash. Inside the car, the tan leather upholstery, rich burled wood trim, and solid build quality are immediately evident. Doors close with a satisfying "thunk." Door sills are pristine indicating an owner who treated this often overlooked chrome trim with "step-over" care. Beautifully designed door panels are also free of any damage from inconsiderate use. Every interior surface is similarly well maintained, and all original equipment is present including the factory audio system, sunroof, and automatic shoulder belts. Rear seating accommodations provide passengers a limousine-like experience. The rear "boot" (or trunk) shows almost as-new. The car comes with its original manuals, leather case, and recent maintenance records. A short sampling of the 4-liter inline 6-cylinder engine's characteristic purr can be had by way of the walk-around video available at the GarageKeptMotors site. The car's engine compartment is tidy and clean, as is the undercarriage where there is no evidence of body rust, and only light surface rust expected from normal road use. The term "fine motorcar" seems to fit Jaguar sedans in general, and this XJ6 in particular, perfectly. Colors, equipment, and condition are all noteworthy. We invite in-person inspections of the car at our Grand Rapids, Michigan showroom by appointment. Thank you for your interest. Please call to discuss this truly fine motorcar. |
