Relatively low mileage and relatively nice condition car.
Original Arizona car that, as described to me by the original owner was a wonderful car but, was always back at the Scottsdale Jaguar dealership for constant repairs. She and her husband loved the car very much but they had enough of the mechanical problems. The car's unreliable and troublesome engine finally had catastrophic failure. Not wanting to get rid of the car they loved so much but being through with the unreliability, they found a shop that could install a new engine... A much more reliable and brand new GM 350 V-8nonetheless! Gone was the crummy little straight-6 boat anchor. She giggled when she told me how much fun it was to drive her favourite car ever, with big V-8 power. We both laughed.
As the former owner explained, eventually she got a new car but never wanted to trade-in or get rid of her awesome V-8 Jag. It stayed as their Arizona car while she travelled back/forth to Calgary Alberta. Eventually she brought the car here. It wasn't in use anymore but, she held and held and held onto it. As I understand, it spent the vast part ofthe last 30 years sitting indoors unused. Her son wouldoccasionally start it up and held it in his garage for a while.
The previous owner lady lives in our neighbourhood. I learned of the car when it was brought out of the garage about a year ago and parkedoutside with a cover on it. I was curious what it was under the cover. Her new husband didn't like the car much, and I got the distinct impression that it represented times with her late husband. While he was eager to see it gone, I was eager to see it come with me. We were mutually happy. The car is a blast to drive. The engine has got great power. It's also deceivingly silent. This thing is absolutely fabulous. Price was right and I couldn't resist. Now, reality... I just can't keep the car.
The car has it's great points, and a few, well... not so great. One hubcap is missing (you may have noticed). Also, the back seat is in very poor shape. There is some dryness to the interior and some cracking here and there. The fronts were redone; quitemarvellously I might add. They look splendid. Plus new door panels are in boxes in the trunk, as well as some othertidbits. The car doesn't need much but, I'll describe this as a fabulous "project" for handier person with more time than I have nevertheless.

Some answers to commonly asked questions from last 2 auctions
  • I cannot supply engine papers, and answer questions about what shop did the work.
      • It was done 36 years ago (THIRTY six). You cannot call and speak to the mechanic.
  • Also, there was no "donor car". This was a new GM crate engine AND transmission.
  • The conversion was done professionally, at a very high end facility, and was very costly when done.
  • Please keep in mind as stated, this wasn't a recent conversion. When done, this car was relatively new (less than 10 years old) Jaguar. Import cars were not as prevalentback then. This was an expensive-expensive and relatively exotic car back then!
  • And no, I won't disclose the reserve..... The Car is listed unreserved.

Review our feedback please.....Each is for a 40+ year old vehicle!

During our relatively short tenure on eBay, we've figured out2 very important things arecommunicationandprocedure. We have a little procedure. Our little procedure focuses on communication. It goes as follows:
  • After auction, we ask for your buyer's information.
    • You supply.
  • We fill in transfer papers and scan/send to you.
    • You confirm spelling and information correct.
  • You go to your bank, and send funds.
    • We validate receipt.
  • We begin on shipping,
    • ...keeping you informed every step..
  • You receive your car.

We're not interested in Paypal or deposits...

I don't care for deposits. If you want this V8 Jag, you know the value of what you're looking at. If you are bidding, please be serious as I am and understand our adherence to this little system/procedure. It's to help both of us. If, for any reason, you cannot adhere to this procedure, please let us know BEFORE BIDDING. OR,....IF YOU HAVE ZERO FEEDBACK OR ARE NEW TO EBAY YOU MUST CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING.Otherwise, I will cancel your bid.

DELIVERY:...to most states and destinations is in the $1500+ range. Please keep that in mind. Budget for at least this amount. Texas and Florida, and other far southeastern states, are obviously a bit more at minimum $2250-ish. Any required inspections, certifications, registrations, paperwork, or anything else are the buyer's responsibility. I don't know the rules in each particular state so, am selling as per Alberta rules. My wife has become pretty good at setting up shipping and, is happy to assist. Rest is up to you. Payment is by bank transfer, US account to US account. As stated, I don't ask for Paypal. Once payment is received, everything else is ready to proceed from there. I believe putting this car unreserved will easily make up for any shipping costs. Somebody is likely to get a heck of a deal.

CALLS:Even a long-winded description like mine is bound to miss a few details. If you'd like to speak over the phone, I'm happy to hear from you. Please write and we'll make arrangements.

If you are fromOVERSEAS,please know we have shipped long distances several times. We are happy to assist. Since beginning to narrow down ourinadvertent collection a couple years ago, we've sold to England, France, Germany, Holland, Slovenia, as well as theMiddle East and New Zealand. If it says anything about what kind of sellers we are... We have sold 6 (six !!) to one gentleman alone in Holland, 2 to another, and 2 to one fellow in England.
And, well...... Ibelieve that covers everything.
Good luck & HAPPY BIDDING.

Car is located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It will ship from Calgary Alberta Canada. Because it is a US vehicle, returning back to the US, there is no issue. It can be re-titled in the US with no concern. There are no restrictions. Thank you.
