Description of 1989 Jaguar XJ6 |
| As listed above this car was rebuilt/reconstructed in Texas. I looked under the car andsaw no kinks or bending of frame that was evident to me. The engine runs smooth once started. It shifts smoothly. The interior needs a lot of TLC. Power equipment functions: seats windows mirrors and door locks function. The digital dash functions as shown in the pictures. The previous owner installed a modified aluminum boat tank to replace a leaking OEM tank. I would recommend the building of a conformal aluminum tank for 2 reasons: This will give the proper volume of fuel as well as eliminate any future issues associated with leaking gaskets of the OEM tank. I purchased the digital copy of the complete shop manual for this car and it will go with the car when sold. The drivetrain parts alone exceed the value I am asking for the car by a factor of 2X. The car can very easily as well as cheaply be made road worthy. I bought this car as a restoration project. The car has been lawfully titled registered and drivenin the state of Louisiana. I do not know the criteria for the classification of rebuild as per the report. I discovered this information when I first listed this car a couple of days ago on E-bay via the automobile background report. |
