Description of 1972 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 Coupe

After collecting most of the parts I would need to do a restoration of my XKE I decided beforebeginning to start it up and see what I was dealing with. As the car had been sitting for years I began by re-commissioning the motor. After Soaking the cylinders down and hand turning the motor I went through thecarburetorsand ignition systems cleaning adjusting andmakingit ready to start. To my delight it roared to life on the very first turn of the key! After a bit more adjustment it was starting easily andidlingvery well. In addition to running the motor pulls great oil pressure and all gaugeswork. After bringing the motor back to life I decided to Re-commissionthe chassis and see how the car drives. To do thisI went through the braking and clutch systemsmakingthe brakes and clutch operational.Theinteriorhas received a very through cleaning and leather treatment you can see by the photos that it is quitereusable.Aftercompletingall of the above work I realized that the best thing to do was make it ready to drive so it can be used and enjoyed for the summer months. Than when the rains of winter close it start the restoration! To this end I have patched the floors and toe boards with Fiberglassmakingthem good for the up coming summerdrivingseason. For the restoration the car willultimatelyrequire I have purchased and amincluding alengthylist of new and used parts. They run the gambit from Martin Robey Body repair panels to Stainless steelexhaustsystem new tires and on and on! Please contact me for a detailed list of additional parts that are included. One very expensive and important part that must be mentioned is a complete new intake system! This is a full custom SU based systemthat is still in the box! The last photo in the series shows the system installed on a V-12 XKE motor.I am relisting this car with a much lower reserve I will be very happy to answer any and all questions feel free to ask.
