Description of 19800000 Jeep Other Renegade |
Hello, p for auction is this clean 1980 Jeep CJ7 Renegade with rare 3 speed automatic transmission. I purchased this a few years ago as project for me an my wife. It was intended for her to drive but it is really not practical for her so I am offering it today on Ebay. Very nice CJ with a lot of eyeball but by no means is it perfect. It looks to be mostly original paint but I am no expert. Runs and drives great steering is tight everything that I know of works as it should. This CJ is really clean inside and out! Inside is very clean. Upholstery is excellent or new condition. Dash panel is very tidy and clean all gauges function and original dash pad is perfect. It is equipped with normal CJoptions such as power steering and brakes. Also has optional lighter/ashtry and storage pocket(yes these were options!). Also has tilt wheel a must on a CJ. The really big one is the 3 speed automatic with manual dana 300 transfer case. The 3 speed auto was a fairly rare option and really make for a jeep anyone can drive and still have the versatility of using it offroad with the wonderful dana transfer case. I have installed a lot of new parts. It has a new Bestop soft top with 2 piece doors. New bestop front heated seats (heat not hooked up) with fold forward front moumts on both sides. New bestop folding and fold forward rear set and new seatbelts. New original color ACC carpet set, ew wintermark 235/75r15 tires. New 4wd fron hubs. Overall this Jeep looks very good but there is various scratches and imperfections. I didn't see any dents or major rust. There is a couple small rust holes around the windshield frame (pictured) and one small hole near the RF fender flare (pictured). Fairly solid underneath visually except for a few small areas. I have taken pictures of any objectionable areas that I noted. Also there is bubbles in the windshield near the defrost vents caused by heat. As for the mileage I was told it was original. As some might see VIN plate is not original and is a re issue by Missouri. No worries you can register in any state as you would any vehicle it has a clean and clear Kansas Title. A little history about the mileage and VIN: I was told by the previous owner this Jeep was stolen very early in its life and was recovered in a Missouri barn years later with no seats, o tires or wheels and the VIN was removed. It was sold by the insurance company to a individual at this point and was used for a short time then sold to the next owner which I purchased it from. I believe he said he owned it since 1995 and only used it as a second vehicle and when the weather was bad and was stored in his garage. By this history and the condition of certain areas of this CJ7 I believe the mileage is accurate. Note this is not a salvage vehicle and again has a clear Kansas title. There areno real leaks underneath but since this is a jeep and a old vehicle the drivetrain is dirty and "greasy". I have made no attempt to clean or cover up anything it is original. I have taken many pictures so you can get a overall idea of the condition of this great little CJ7. I would encourage anyone nearby to see it in person. If there is any questions please ask! I would be happy also to talk about the Jeep over the phone. I have placed what I think is a very reasonable reserve and Buy It Now. I expect the transaction to be completed by purchaser.
