I purchased a new 2015 Rubicon this year and the wife says one of the Jeeps has to go, o up for sale is my 1981 CJ7. In 2007 I purchased this vehicle in 2007 as a tow vehicle for my Motor home. In 2008 we did a frame off complete restoration. When I say "we" I mean a master mechanic who is in the business of training mechanics. No short cuts were taken and every component was removed overhauled, efinished or replaced. The frame, rive train and suspension was sanded to bare metal and re-coated with a military grade primer epoxy. There is no serious rust or cancer issues just light all weather use. Rebuilt and reinstalled the small block 350 and three speed manual transmission which runs strong. We reinstalled the fiberglass body, span>that will never rust on to all redone or replaced components. Installed a 4"Rough Country Lift Kit and (5) Pro Comp 35"all terrain tires and rims. A custom rear bumper with a heavy gauge spare tire carrier along with a Smittybilt modified front bumper which boasts a 12,000 lb winch! That's right 12,000 lbs there is not a situation that you can't get out of with this piece of equipment. This Jeep comes with a tow bar and is set up to tow. This jeep is heated garage kept and never went out into the winter up until the last three years. It is starting to redevelop some rust and wear and tear from what was a pristine condition vehicle. The fuel gauge is also intermittent. I would call it good condition and with the right owner could be back in pristine in very little time. Jeep is in Channahon, llinois and please feel free to come and inspect the vehicle prior to auctions end or email with any questions. Vehicle is being sold "as is"and at the close of the auction the winning bidder shall via PayPal make a $500.00 deposit within 48 hours. The full amount of the purchase will be due either by certified, erified or Cash funds at or before the transfer of title and vehicle. Arrangements to pick up the Jeep shall be made within 10 days of auction close. I am not going to give the Jeep away but have priced it well below what has been invested in the condition she is in today. Good Luck she is a head turner.
