Description of 1950 Jeep Other Willys Jeepster

This is a 1950 Willys Jeepster. This is fresh out of storage from the same local owner for over 40 years. It has always been stored indoors. It has been very well cared for. We've gotten the engine running. The car will run and drive with an auxillary gas tank. The original fuel pump has been bypassed for a frame mounted electric unit. Mechanically. the engine. clutch. rear end and transmission are good and original. The electric system has been converted to 12 volt. The vehicle is equipped with an alternator and all gauges and lights work. The starter is new. The gas tank has not been used for our initial testing and may need to be cleaned. The brakes will need to be checked and serviced. The car was painted approximately 30 years ago and shows its age in several places. The areas beneath the doors are popping. In some areas. the paint is dull and there are small chips. The basic body is very solid. The frame is very solid. The tire tread is good but the tires are old. The hubcaps are not original The chrome is original but not rusty. The interior was redone 17 years ago and is very good. The top shows its age and will probably need to be replaced. The rear top mounting is separated. The plastic windows are faded. The front glass has a crack in the lower right corner of the driver's side.
