This particular CJ5 4WD V8 is a piece of the 70s nostalgia... and lifeguard history. This is a replicated Laguna Beach, CA Lifeguard Jeep. I life guarded in Laguna from 1975-81 and thought it would be really cool to replicate what was standard issue back in the day for many lifeguard departments. None of the lifeguard departments have these Jeeps anymore - this could be a rare one of a kind!! Recently restored, the detail is very original to include the rescue paddle board (specially shaped and glassed for this project), backboard, rescue 'stokes' cage, and rescue tubes with classic correct vintage Duck Feet swim fins. As well, a working CB radio (antenna just needs to be connected). The removable (magnetized mounted red emergency light does work and plugs into cigarette lighter. The 2 LIFEGUARD insignias on the hood are also magnetized and removable. This would be a nice addition to anyone's car collection or just to have for fun and will always turn a lot of heads... As you will see in the pics; the engine (304 V8) is detailed nicely and is in excellent condition. The following are new; brake master, starter & starter solenoid, battery and cables, and spark plugs... it runs great! It's got a nice sound too with glasspacks in the exhaust system (not too loud) - but youdefinitely know it's a V8. The paint is new and in excellent condition... no dents. Brakes are good, 3 speed manual tranny is perfect, and the clutch is good too. All 4 tires are like new! The 4WD & locking front hubs work perfectly in 2H, 4H, N, and 4L. Both front and back seats are in excellent shape. Also it comes with a rear tow hitch and a front tow attachment for the Jeep to be towed by an RV as well. It was just recently displayed in Huntington Beach at the 2016 California Regional Lifeguard Competition... as seen in a few of the pics (4WD worked great on the beach). Also, it was recently appraised for $20,500 at 'JEEPS R US' in Laguna Canyon - the official appraisal document is available. This Jeep has FUN written all over it and it could be yours to enjoy... the reserve is much lower than the appraisal. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!
