Description of 1983 Jeep CJ

Extraordinary condition on an unmodified ultra rare 2.5 liter, 4 cylinder "Iron Duke" engine, mated to the legendary 5 speed manual transmission.
Installed spice color Best Top Supertop with two piece doors but will deliver with the original hard top with metal doors and the soft top and hardware in a box.
Chrome package and Laredo decals and interior original emblem.
Body, undercarriage and floorboards are virtually rust free. This Jeep was bought new in Nevada City, California, and for the past 7 plus years has never, ever, been driven in snow or bad terrain. There is, however, a rust problem, underneath the roll bar, right behind the driver's seat, that will need attention ( see picture ).
Has four factory chrome rims with correct sized tires ( 235 75R15 ) and a steel spare tire mounted in the back.
Power steering with tilt wheel, tachometer and dash clock.
Front, passenger and rear original Laredo seats. Driver and passenger seats are showing their age but remain unmolested and the rear seat is flawless but somewhat "lightly faded" due to age.
This Jeep came to us without carpet but the original paint on the floor shows great with only light scratches ( see pictures ).
On the dashboard, fuel and temperature gauges do not work and as noted in description, the instruments' lights are weak, so reading them at night is problematic ( upgrade to newer bulbs for clear nighttime driving ).
AM/FM/Cassete radio with 3.5 mm output for playing your smart phone/music player with good speakers in the back ( only aftermarket accessory in the vehicle, installed in the original opening on the dash, so, no alterations were made ).
Correct style halogen lights that work and show great.
This Jeep has been adult owned all his life and gets attention wherever it goes.
The engine was overhauled about 500 miles ago due to ruptured timing chain, so you get a fresh engine.
156,400 original miles on the clock, but recently overhauled engine with new clutch and components, so, drive this Jeep anywhere.
Mileage may go up slightly since this vehicle is used on a regular basis.
Clear title in hand that will deliver, once funds have cleared.
This is not a restoration and this is not a $25,000.00 frame off job, but an original, pampered, original Southwest Coast California Jeep that has been well taken care.
